I have a terminal lung disease called cystic fibrosis. I have trouble breathing just in my day to day. When you started training, I started as well. Had to start small but I just ran my first half marathon last week and I’m still overwhelmed with emotion. I wanted to thank you for helping me through it all and honestly probably adding years onto my life Edit: y’all’s support means everything! Helps me motivate to keep on going! CHOO CHOO!!!
And then you shorten your laps so you’re never more than 5 minutes away from home because the midrun BM hits hard and fast. So you’re just awkwardly running the same quarter mile of sidewalk, looking like a total loon.
It would be super cool if Cody hosted a run somewhere like in LA or Austin! With 5K, 10K, and maybe even half marathon options. I would sign up for that sooooo fast!
All of this was amazing. Love seeing Matt on the channel. He brings such good vibes and you two are a riot together. I’m currently training for my first 70.3 and what Matt said about everyone out there hating each other is so true and funny lol. We have a really nice paved bike trail where I live and when I’m riding on it I’m like “these damn runners” and when I’m running on it I’m like “these damn cyclists.” Looool. Keep up the amazing work everyone! CHOO CHOO!
Cody Trains is the best running channel on youtube! I'm running my first road marathon in a few weeks and watching you crush your long runs motivates me to get out the door for my own runs. Thanks for keeping the stoke high!
What’s up Cody, I’ve been watching since the channel started and wasn’t a big fan of running then but now I just signed up for my first half marathon. Thanks for always inspiring me and making me laugh with your vids
Hey Cody, I just ran 3 miles to get back into my running habit and I thought of how much you push through all the pain and it's gonna keep me going. Thank you
i started running 5 weeks ago and 1 week in, i signed up for a 10k which is this october. right now it feels unattainable but i know i’ll be able to do it💪 CHOO CHOOOOO🚂🚂
Been watching since the Ironman days, signed up right after you finished your Ironman last year and I am about to compete in my first full one in 2 weeks - thanks for the push!!!
training for nothing BUT managed to close my rings 2 days in a row for the first time in like a month bc i fell off my game. love u cody you'll slay the race
I was training for my first marathon before I got into a huge car accident last month. I fractured my ankle and have to keep off of it for 2 months. Watching your videos help keep me going tbh because I miss training days. It's awesome to see someone's progress even though I'm outta the game this summer and won't make it to the marathon I signed up for. However, there's always the next one!
Training for my very first half marathon in October! I’ve never been a runner and am struggling with training a bit, but these videos keep me going. You’re killing it, Cody!
I've never worked out and i've never been fit in my life, but watching your videos has been such a life changer. You make fitness look like something someone can actually enjoy, not just a chore. Your drive and motivation to accomplish a goal is so inspiring. Ive started running everymorning for 10 minutes before i start my day. My breathing is already better, i get better sleep, and i feel the best ive felt in years. Thank you for these videos, maybe one day ill run a marathon! Choo Choo brother 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
2 friends and i just completed our first sprint tris this weekend! had such a great experience and watching this channel was a huge motivator for all of us :) next up is starting to train for an olympic distance!!
training for my first marathon starts tomorrow!!! watching cody trains was so helpful during the training for my first half marathon a few weeks ago, and i am ready to get back on the saddle for a new challenge!! thanks for the motivation, cody! never thought i would be doing this. CHOO CHOO!
First half marathon completed, signing up to another this week. Watching this channel has definitely helped me to realise I can be a runner, and to accept the ups and downs as part of the process
Training for my first race ever, a half marathon, and just ran my first 10 mi run today!! CHOO CHOO I only started running because of this channel, thank you Cody 🙂↕️
Cody I started watching this channel when you created it and I found myself wanting to start working out regularly for the first time since I injured myself in high school. Now I’ve been taking a cycling class 5 times a week and these videos truly inspire me!! I have a knee injury so I can’t run but I look forward to watching these vlogs every week!! Thank you for motivating me!!
Training for my first ever Ironman. Never done anything like this at all but I’ve always known about Cody but found Cody trains a little after I started. I want to do Lake placid in 2025 and am signed up for an Olympic and a Half iron man. Cody you’ve given me so much inspiration to just get through some rough training days because sometimes it seems impossible. Trying to break 12 hours so thank you do everything! Good luck my man!
You inspired me to start getting active and after 1 month I finished the Shire conqueror challenge. 145 miles walking and biking in a month! I just started the Fellowship and can’t wait to crush it. Gor cordy!
Training for my first full ironman in august and have a half in 3 weeks. Just had to drop running today cause i overdid the bike this weekend. So thats a great confidence boost for the half😂
This channel got me motivated to start running. I began in March of 2023, ran my first 10k in July and a marathon in November. Got my first ultramarathon 50K in late July of this year. Watching these videos makes me feel like I’m part of a run club, Choo Choo!
I’m training for my third half marathon. I’m always sure to not training enough in between that. It’s very difficult to train back up to it, lol. I always schedule my long runs for Tuesdays so I have your video to motivate me before I go. I think “any hoozlebees” Finally confirmed that you are in fact, a father
Hey Cody! I used to play tennis a lot for cardio but when I went to college the courts were always busy. I tried running throughout my first year but could never keep up with it. Well, now I signed myself up for my very first 5K on July 4th for some discipline, and now I’ve been running 2-3 times a week! It’s been a struggle because I have asthma, but I always feel really good after a run. Thanks for the motivation bro.
Not training for anything in particular. Just finished PT for a tweeked shoulder and currently trying to get back into climbing and strength training. In the meantime I've been working on weight loss. Was at my all time heaviest last July and am currently down 30 lbs... aiming for another 10-15. Keep the videos coming!
I signed up for a half Ironman for this July back in August 23 after seeing your Ironman vids. I’m down 20kg so far, the weekly vids never fail to force me on my bike when I don’t want to. Thank you for the motivation 💪💪
Thanks for helping me stay motivated in my training for my first full marathon in November in downtown Indianapolis. Hoping to qualify for the Chicago marathon next year!!
I am pretty out of shape, so I've been starting small, not to the point of running yet, but I have increased my trail walks steadily up to 12mi long walks so far! FL summer is hard but I get to see baby gators so it's worth it
Training for the Philadelphia Marathon in November!! The Boston summer heat is getting to me 🥵 but just picturing a nice cool race day and praying it comes through so the summer training will be worth it!
Todays training is sadly the beginning of ankle recovery due to a game day injury. I am a runner and roller derby player but am looking at sitting out for 4-6 weeks while this heals. But in more fun news, today is the start of my stationary bike and rowing machine journey. Choo choo!
I Cody Ko'd this past Saturday, woke up at 5:30 and drove to go do a 25 mile bike race! I had never biked this far before and it was so so amazing. I completed it in 2 1/2 hours and I feel so proud of myself.
Cody, recommendation for pre-run AM bowel movements: Instead of making coffee via beans use store bought CHEAP instant coffee. It tastes gross but man it produces those movements.
Trying to just get fit honestly, training to cosplay since I have arthritis and can’t run but my goal eventually is to get better and do a marathon once in my life
I have a terminal lung disease called cystic fibrosis. I have trouble breathing just in my day to day. When you started training, I started as well. Had to start small but I just ran my first half marathon last week and I’m still overwhelmed with emotion. I wanted to thank you for helping me through it all and honestly probably adding years onto my life
Edit: y’all’s support means everything! Helps me motivate to keep on going! CHOO CHOO!!!
Big ups mate, very inspiring
this is awesome!! so proud of you
You are amazing!!!!
Choochoo!
Hell yeah! CHOOCHOO!
True strength is Cody being able to stop the run at 19.99 miles and be okay with it.
Strava tax is the wooooorst.
he's also training without his garmin???
Sometimes I get pissed when it says like 10.06 km or something like that
Seeing the reflection of the actual view in the glasses is peak comedy
Cody’s hair while talking about mountain biking is killing me
“It’s like a suicide belt but the opposite” is an absolutely wild statement haha
I love the aggressive shushing scenes.
you know the trainings serious when cody's jimmy neutron hair comes out
mat's such a comedian 😆12 holster for water and the classic snickers joke
Biggest fear before a morning run is when I don’t have a bowel movement
And then you shorten your laps so you’re never more than 5 minutes away from home because the midrun BM hits hard and fast. So you’re just awkwardly running the same quarter mile of sidewalk, looking like a total loon.
Eating greek yogurt always gets me a quick poo before my run it’s the probiotics man
That trail footage was GORGEOUS
It would be super cool if Cody hosted a run somewhere like in LA or Austin! With 5K, 10K, and maybe even half marathon options. I would sign up for that sooooo fast!
The way Cody’s eyes light up when he’s talking to Otis it’s wholesome 💗💗
All of this was amazing. Love seeing Matt on the channel. He brings such good vibes and you two are a riot together. I’m currently training for my first 70.3 and what Matt said about everyone out there hating each other is so true and funny lol. Keep up the amazing work everyone! CHOO CHOO!
The editing on this one absolutely slaps.
The sound effect at 2:10 took me out 😭
just in time for lunch
Not the ol' "I wish you could see this" bit 😂
Cody Trains is the best running channel on youtube! I'm running my first road marathon in a few weeks and watching you crush your long runs motivates me to get out the door for my own runs. Thanks for keeping the stoke high!
love the unhinged energy already
i get butterflies seeing matt
What’s up Cody, I’ve been watching since the channel started and wasn’t a big fan of running then but now I just signed up for my first half marathon. Thanks for always inspiring me and making me laugh with your vids
Otis already has impeccable comedic timing. Gonna be the funniest kid ever
Hey Cody, I just ran 3 miles to get back into my running habit and I thought of how much you push through all the pain and it's gonna keep me going. Thank you
The shushing parts are quickly becoming my favourite parts of the video 😂
i started running 5 weeks ago and 1 week in, i signed up for a 10k which is this october. right now it feels unattainable but i know i’ll be able to do it💪 CHOO CHOOOOO🚂🚂
Thank you for showing us the stunning view!
Been watching since the Ironman days, signed up right after you finished your Ironman last year and I am about to compete in my first full one in 2 weeks - thanks for the push!!!
Matt is the real mvp of the channel. Hit a 3:18 marathon and I can’t believe how much of an impact this channel has had on my life
No human being has any business having this much energy so early in the morning

11:24 Mat’s Drafting Cam - Been there, buddy. 😂 Feels great!
matt is such an awesome friend
Training for my very first half marathon in October! I’ve never been a runner and am struggling with training a bit, but these videos keep me going. You’re killing it, Cody!
I love his home decor it's so spacious and unique and pretty and alive. My dream is to have a house that's cozy and nice like that

Oats made with oat milk instead of water and a pinch or two of salt is a game changer
Oats are self milking. What you’re tasting is the sugar they add to oat milk, so just put that in yourself.
these videos make my mondays thanks again cody
shoutout to mat for that water bottle belt, thank you king, always inventing 👆😤
These videos have become a staple to my Monday morning routine. Currently training for Missoula Marathon in 3 weeks. Choo choo! 🚞
2 friends and i just completed our first sprint tris this weekend! had such a great experience and watching this channel was a huge motivator for all of us :) next up is starting to train for an olympic distance!!

YESSS!! “If only there was a way you could see this view!” The bit returned!!!

Currently training for my first 450m. Feeling a tiny bit nervous, but these videos help.
Cody Ive never felt more seen than when you were lost on that trail for a moment, that is me on the AllTrails app all the time
I’m training for my third half marathon. I’m always sure to not training enough in between that. It’s very difficult to train back up to it, lol. I always schedule my long runs for Tuesdays so I have your video to motivate me before I go.

Training for the Philadelphia Marathon in November!! The Boston summer heat is getting to me 🥵 but just picturing a nice cool race day and praying it comes through so the summer training will be worth it!

Love when Cody and Matt are together training
It’s 6am, perfect wake up motivational content 👍 Locked in!
You're brave Cody! Saying a little prayer for race day, stay safe 🎉
Bowl movement logistics is real though
Just in time to watch while I do the washing up 👌
I Cody Ko'd this past Saturday, woke up at 5:30 and drove to go do a 25 mile bike race! I had never biked this far before and it was so so amazing. I completed it in 2 1/2 hours and I feel so proud of myself.

Thanks Cody you inspired me to start lifting back in November! Now I currently run about 3 miles a week and I’m down 30 lbs!

“Bowel movement logistics” is so real.
Just ran my first half marathon yesterday! Slower than I would have liked but feeling accomplished!
I love when Matt

Best channel in the game
loving the poop talk.
Ran a half marathon yesterday for fun, went ok
