A BIG THANK YOU to you for posting this on UA-cam. Pure nostalgia and it made me feel so proud and pleased to see the old place again. I grew up there from 1941-1957 (now pushing 80), now living in England. It brought tears to my eyes when I saw the Church boarded up and not used any more. I’m guessing that the monies raised to restore the church following the huge quake, was insufficient to restore it to its former glory. But thank you so much ... just seeing the old place again is wonderful. May God bless you. Eleanor Penwald.
thanx Ben fo dis vid... brings sooooo many memories back... so grateful, blessed nd gald to b apart of dis family... truely a home away frm home... now m like realy missin homes gang... closest to my hrt ♡
OGBS should be allowed to take their vehicles inside, after all it is our Alma Mater, but moreover, am an old man now, and I was a Scottish Canadian boarder and the walk is quite ardorous . The boxies were an integral part of our DGH, and it was lovely to have them included in the clip.
Thanks Ben for the trip down memory lane. It’s very changed since I left end of 1957. When were you there? Sir Gavin seems really nice. Just seeing the place again is a real treat. Thank you for the footage. Eleanor (UK)
I remember the hart stream on d way to wiston..turning the rocks to find crabs..heat then in our compass box and eat it..also a little ahead .there was a water tank where we swam inside it..
Your vedio took me back into my childhood days of DGH. Thanks for sharing 💗
