- Dr. Graham's Homes is one of the popular tourists spots in Kalimpong. This is an old school founded by Dr. John Anderson Graham in 1900. Dr Graham was a Scottish missionary He loved children. He settled in Kalimpong and started working with the local community to help the orphans. Some of the notable alumni of this school are Mr. Tshering Tobgay, the present Prime Minister of Bhutan and David R. Syielmlieh, the former Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission of India. This place looks like a place of an old age Europe. There is also an old church inside the Graham's Homes. It's called Katherine Graham Memorial Chapel. This chapel was built in 1925 in memory of Katherine Graham, wife of Dr Graham. This is the place from where the whole area looks most beautiful. This chapel was built in as Scottish architecture. Katherine Graham died in 1919 and Dr. Graham died in 1942. Both has been buried here. This chapel was declared Heritage by the Heritage Commission of India in 1918. Unlike other tourist spots this place is less crowded. If you are visiting Kalimpong, don't miss Dr Graham's Homes.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful video of Dr. Graham’s Home school. It made me emotional because I studied there. I remember that church, every Sunday, our cottage uncle takes us to that church. I have a fond memory. Thank you again. I would definitely visit my school some day.

I joined the school when I was in 5th grade, but I had to leave the school when I was in grade 6. Still miss the school, the vibes, the cottage and the Christmas, hope to see this school when this pandemic gets over❤️

I was a boarder there in the sixties n lived in calcutta cottage.
It was a marvelous experience of being a student of Dr Graham Homes. Lovely school
I spent a few of my formative years in this school. And among all the schools I’ve studied at, this is the only one I cherish as a second home.
I was in shock today when I heard that the school is closing down.

Our Tuckshops... Jarvie hall... Mountbatten play... May fair stalls and games, Harriers marathon, swimming gala, the ball, Our very own CK, Fraser, Winston uncle of Scottish, robbing corns from localities wearing rain coats during monsoon, sneaking out to local Tuckshops, bamboo pea-shooters, khud adventutes, stealing guavas from green house, Mr.Fuller, and I can go on forever...
Only Homes guys will know what these mean to us.

It is very sad to say that the reputation of this school has been deeply affected by strikes and now it is on the verge of bankruptcy and shutdown.
Really?? Oh no!! Ex students who are well established now should come up to save this great institute..
A lot more should have been covered in the video... Whats DGH without the Hospital, The Cottages, I was in Scottish Canadian and Grant. the top most cottages of DGH

I'm not blaming you ,cus my shool IS that HUGE , it's actually a bit hard to complete the full campus. And also in 6:07 , that was the"Jubilee House" if my spelling is not wrong. In that house, all the acting principals of DGH used to stay, Just like the teacher's quater , it was the principal's quater.

Their graves are in the"The Garden of Remembrance". The personal graveyard for all the beloved people of Gr Graham's Homes..

One of the best spots, just across the basketball courts in the right at 6:00. You could have enjoyed by far the best view of hills, valleys and the Himalayas. And above all that, even Kanchenjunga which is the third highest peak in the world. All of these from just a single spot. Make sure you don’t miss it next time you’re in DGH.

Who told u that they we buried inside the church. There is a grave just below the first entrance gate and that's the place he was buried.
