FUNKADELIC I didn’t think I could love her more. That informs so much of her guitar playing-along with the rest, of course. I’d love to see her cover “Maggot Brain.”
Her list was short but eclectic and now I’m curious about what her own music sounds like and the albums I’ve never heard. The Angie Stone and ESG picks…*chef’s kiss* There’s a cool early 80’s NYC thread there💡Amoeba, you’re truly the plug💐
Are they allowed to write out a list before entering the store or is it blind picks . I get record shop amnesia as soon as i walk into a store. So i would be useless at this unless i could write a list
That's up to them, but as totally agree that making a list is super helpful. It's easy to get overwhelmed in the store, especially if it's your first time at Amoeba.
Normally head off to investigate the guest picks I’m not aware of, this time I’m off to investigate Nilüfer. Any chance of a what’s in my bag for Lonelady or Children of Zeus???
I also really dug Blurred View off the new Big Thief along with Simulation Swarm. That album coulda been cut in two though with the folksier stuff on one and the moody stuff on another. Meanwhile Nilüfer's own "Stabilise" is a bop and a half.
I was thinking that as well! So I looked it up and I think there's a crack in the top left part of the case but the vertical lines are part of the sleeve design. Glad to be of service..
Assuming you don't really want anyone to tell you, because obviously it would be easier for you to just search her name yourself, it does beg the question what the purpose of your comment is?
@@falconhoof6 It's an interestingly perplexing phenomenon, isn't it? It's very nonsensical and infantile behavior and their intent has become quite clear, which is of course, edgelords simply being edgelords with what's now become an edgelord classic of sorts i.e. typing "who?" in response to videos like this, articles on bands, etc.. as a way of simply saying, "who the f**k is this? I've never heard of him/her/them, therefore they must be nobody of importance and/or shit, etc.." Again, completely moronic and nothing more than vintage edgelord behavior on parade. As always, that's the wonderful and often disturbing world of the internet for ya, no? Good times!
Midnight Sun is ia track that is always on my playlist, so thank you for having Nilüfer Yanya on here
Check out the live version from Jimmy Kimmel. The sax player makes the track.

I recently discovered this woman, and damn! She trapped me with the youtbe channel version "From the basement", of the Midnight Sun song

Roman Candle..? It's Amazing!
Kiz Nilufer, n'apan?
Was the first cd case cracked or was that just part of the design
I was thinking that as well! So I looked it up and I think there's a crack in the top left part of the case but the vertical lines are part of the sleeve design. Glad to be of service..
n'aber nilüfer? müzik zevkin sağlammış.
Baglama not ballama :) great sesion with nilufer yanya... she is a great artist
She's super cute
The Boogeyman got me here
Nilüfer Yanya 😂😂😂 I know someone who is called Lok Nath Upadhyaya. Won't you call him from Nepal?
Who?
Isn't finding new music the whole point of Amoeba?
She's great. You should try her latest album.

@@falconhoof6 - Ha ha ha ha, brilliant!
That is possibly the best reply I've seen to the old, tired n' common "Who?" comment!
🙂
