WOW, looks like a million buck stairway, excellent work!
I'll start building them people pay that 😁
WOW ! That's amazing! I have never seen great stairs like that before ! This was worth the wait!♥️♥️♥️♥️👍
Thank you very much
Andrew on the staircase, just pure outstanding !
Thank you
I am so glad Daniel Arms led me to your channel. You have been amazing with everything you work on. Oh and love Tiffany's cooking as well.
We are very thankful for that too! Thank you for watching and the support.
Man, I gotta hand it to you. I've only watched a couple of your videos, but you've done an amazing job. I tip my hat to anyone that takes the time to do a job, do it right, and do what they can themselves. I live in a big city where so many folks can't do the most basic of things and then I see you and I think now that's how it's supposed to be. Thanks for sharing with the world.
Thank you very much, I couldn't agree more.
Hi Andrew and Tiffany!! Your stairs are beautiful, Andrew you don’t diss appoint. I think it just makes your living room. Boy that’s sure something to stand back and be very proud of. FANTASTIC. 👍👍❤❤. 🌞🇨🇦
Thank you very much
That's a time your scope would have worked to find the studs! These stairs are a definite WOW!
Well that stud finder worked quite well too.
I have always admired the work that you've done building your home, but this project blows me away! The amount of work and effort that you put in is simply amazing!
Thank you very much!
This is something we just buried my grandmother love the vids
What a gorgeous staircase!
Thank you very much
Amazing! I love it!
Your dog is just like mine. Very loyal and always in the way. I had to chuckle when I was watching you trip over the dog and the bucket in the beginning. Always in the way cause they have to be right in the action.
Lol every time!
Andrew a mighty fine job thank goodness you have tough friends and family ❤
Yes absolutely, very thankful!
This looks so nice and your attention to detail is what makes it so...can't wait for the railings you are adding, that will set this off even more so...great job, Andrew!
Thank you very much
Thank you Mr Troy for your assistance in the design of these stairs. I'm glad to know these stairs will be safe for Andrew and Tiffany to use. Beautiful design and a good installation. It really does take a village.
Yes thank you!
Wow! Looks beautiful and glad to read in the comments that railings are coming! Just the thought of someone in socks slipping on those steps makes a part of my anatomy pucker right up!
Lol believe it or not socks have been gripping well. Working on railings now.
Wow!The stairs look amazing! Great job as always sir!
Thank you
I'd like to thank the engineer for helping you, God bless him!
Andrew, this is stunning, could be in any magazine😍
It's so unusual to see other men ( not hired professionals) helping you. But, after all, it was Tiff holding the back part that made it possible😎🌹
Funny how after building an entire house, this is the first time I asked for help 😳
Looks fantastic. Everybody in the comments said what I was thinking. I loved that idea of long screws in the studs, cutting off the heads and inserting it into the trends. That was brilliant. I would add more if you can. In time it will help
Thank you Jim!
Ruger lying right down beside your feet rolling around. So cute! Project looking good!
Thank you for watching
Looks good man! And if your sense of style ever changes, between the bar stools and this staircase you have the makings of a great heavy duty equipment trailer. 😆
Lol right!
Wow!!!!! Absolutely amazing! This looks sooo good and sleek. I love everything about it. Fantastic job.
Thank you very much
Looks beautiful and well done. You and Tiffany can be very proud of yourselves. Very nice job Andrew!!!

Thank you very much, God bless!
Job well done. Take a bow!
Thank you very much
Wow! Beautiful
I have seen many homes with multi colored woods, to me the various wood colors blend well together.
See you on the live tonight!
Thank you, I'm still getting use to it. Luckily I know the wood will darken.
That looks so professional! What an amazing job! You must be so proud! Thank you for sharing this build. Cheers!
Thank you very much
It looks Great. Can’t wait to see

I will miss the live tonight, having thanksgiving dinner at church! Hope you have a great week and happy thanksgiving 🍁🦃🍽!
Happy Thanksgiving
I was out building fence and my alert went off saw it was your video. Had to take a break. Wow ! Looks freaking awesome. Now back to setting cross ties and pulling barb wire.
Thank you for watching, come build my fence 😬
@@TKCL I asked a buddy of mine that works maintaince of way on the railroad if he had any good used cross ties. He was sure where do you want them and how many. I said maybe 100 he said no problem. Next thing I know I came home back in May and there was a whole semi load of brand new switch ties which are longer and Hella heavy sitting in the middle of my pasture. I wanted to wait till it cooled off to start setting them I have about 20 more to go. Thankfully I bought barb wire a couple years ago when it was "cheaper".... this has been one hell of a project. But when you are ready let me know I'll come down and give you a hand I should know what I'm doing when I get finished with mine I'm only a few hrs north of ya
It's on my to do list eventually
Great job and I am constantly impressed with your attention to detail and your ability to come up with unique solutions to problems.👍
Thank you very much
Beautiful set of staircase
Thank you
I've been in misc/ornamental metals for almost 35 years and have to say you did an outstanding job ! You went way beyond what you would have gotten if you had it done at a local fab shop. Finish looks great !
Thank you very much
@@TKCL Your idea for the blind reinforcement of the flex in the stair was borderline genius ! I did a similar design in a stair in Ponte Vedra beach about 10 years ago. what are you doing for railing ? The drawing you showed was cool but a thinner horizontal member allows you to see the sights better. I've done cable rail,(not a fan) and prefer 3/8" -1/2" round bar. I love to build spiral stairs also !
Thank you! I'm doing 3/4 square tubing and I'll admit after building two railings I do wish it was thinner as you suggested. I'll look at it installed and change the design down the road if need be.
@@TKCL Are you doing 3/4 horizontal ? The drawing on the video looked like 1x2 which would be way to much IMO.
1 1/2 uprights with 3/4 horizontal.
like the video.now you are stepping up now. it look like ruger was trying to trip you. be bless and safe. oh watch your step.
He's always tripping me lol.
They turned out really good Andrew!
Thank you Shane!
looking good can't wait to see what the hand rail design will be.
Coming soon
This is absolutely amazing! It is gorgeous! I am afraid of heights, so it kind of unnerves me without a railing, but it is beautiful!
Railings coming soon.
Absolutely wonderful job. Those stairs look amazing. You did a great job.
Thank you very much
Great work.
Thank you very much
Wow, amazing 👏 😍 😲❤️
Thank you
I thought building a house was a task but you outdid yourself on these stairs 👍
This is by far my most involved project 😬
Looks marvelous! Great Job!
Thank you
Love it looks amazing. Great job
Thank you very much
Those are beautiful! Good job
Thank you
Love the look!
Thank you
Looks terrific! 👍
Thank you
Great job, looks very nice.
Thank you
You are meticulous Sir!!! Looks GREAT!!
Thank you very much
Rugers, sure getting Big!!!
Sure is
Looks very professional done . Again dummy me . Lol . I think the hand rail will even set it off more . Great Great job Andrew . Headed out to a cool stand , I’ll check in on the livestream.
Thank you Jimmy! Good luck
Them stairs are really nice buddy nice job I might actually steal that concept one day soon. Well took a little while to sell my place after a few setbacks of financing of the other person whatever but looks like I'm in for a bit of snow still it's a little chilly out when my dogs are up in it. Keep up the good work hope you put some nice railings up as it could be quite the step. It looks solid and it adds a new focal point to what was once a bland wall and yet it doesn't take distance off of the eye because of his openness. It has grandeur for a little extra space upstairs.
Thank you very much
@@TKCL🇨🇦🐕 😎 also I saw your other little clip about how you had to bring Ruger inside for the big storm a new Ruger would come inside hahaha well they're a good daddy anyways keep up the good work and Ruger and a bullet scratch behind the ear
He actually didn't stay inside, the storm passed by before we went to bed, he slept soundly on the porch. We spent the majority of the day in the shop working.
Obviously, the next video is for the handrailing install. Can't wait to see that one.
Correct, working on those now.
WOW!
Andrew it looks absolutely amazing I am so impressed with that have a great week my friend and happy Thanksgiving
Thank you very much, happy Thanksgiving!
Ah yeah!!
Andrew you can get a snap on spray handle for spray cans at Walmart 5 dollars it's easy on hands good job on stairs
I have one, I find it does not allow fine quick spraying but is God for hold down full blast painting.
Holy stairs! They're gorgeous Andrew. Welp, if your home should go somewhere (God forbid), at least you'll have stairs. That bad boy ain't going no where. Man, they're awesome! Do you need a railing? I have no clue how those codes work in your area.
Yes, I'm building the railings now.
SHE'S A BEAUT CLARK!
Thanks cousin Eddie!
Hi Andrew. Do you build roads? We need you here in Arkansas if you do. The folks that are building roads here cannot think ahead and build something into a present project that may be needed in the future. I really like how you plan for the future when you build things. Great work on the staircase. I like it.
Lol sorry, not in the road business. Thanks for watching
Andrew Awesome it look’s like Ruger helped you he is a great supervisor.
He's always helping out..
Excellent video. Can you tell me how you made the stair steps
thoses stairs are beautiful and really blend well with the house. Congratulations. What will the railing look like? Will you be adding a hand rail to the stairs?
Black square tubing for the railings with a wood top. Thank you!
Looks great, I really like the way you used the pins to keep the stairs from rocking. Is there any lateral movement seeing as it's just a dowel?
It's solid now, far more solid than I was expecting.
Are use easy off clean metal to prep it to paint. It’s pretty easy just sprayed on it let it sit for 15 or 20 minutes or an hour and then you can Hozier pressure wash it off and that’s usually enough to be ready to paint. Sometimes if it’s an old greasy axle or something you gotta do some scrubbing but it gets the oil off the metal. Once you’re done though you’ve got to dry it or paint it pretty quick or it’ll rust because it’ll strip all the oil off the metal
I've found Lacquer thinner followed by a wire brush has never failed me on painting.
Exactly the quality and finish I've come to expect from you. LOL...My only surprise is that you didn't magically measure out exactly where each stair tread would land and deliberately put in extra 2x4's and bracings when you built the wall as you always think ahead and do the impossible. But did you have to get it up right during the Cleveland Browns football game? ROTF!
Lol I don't think that far ahead. Sorry about the game 😬
If more strength is needed to stop the treads from flexing, you could take one of the long RSS lags and go through the 2x4 from the pantry side and into the treads. Patch over the screw heads in the pantry and you’ll never know they are there.
So far the current setup is working very well. Good idea!
Hi amazing work !
Do you remember what kind of screws you was using to attach the treads to the frame? Thank you!
I used 3/16 lag bolts painted black.
Pretty spiffy young man
Thank you
That looks great but will you eventually add railing to the stairs and landing up top?
The very last part of the video says that's next. I wondered the same thing.
@@HappyHooligans Oh ok thanks, I thought he was waiting till after he put the furniture up there
Working on that now.
👍👍
Looks good Andrew. Love seeing the builds. Curious do you think going with tubing vs an i-beam, eliminate the flex? Also was the gentleman with the green shirt helping you put the concrete anchors in at the base of the stairs your brother? Can't wait to see what you do for railings.
I don't have a brother, just two sisters. No doubt square tubing would help with the flex, but that would be extremely expensive and even heavier due to the size I would have to go with. I got the beam for a killer price from a friend.
Looks great and job well done! Do you have plans for a railing of any sort? I'd hate to slip while wearing socks or something.
Yes I'm already building the railings.
Looks awesome! Any railings? What is code on this?
Yes railings being built now. A lot of varying codes based on your second levels designation. Usually 38 inch high railings, minimum 10 inch tread width, riser height ect.
👍 👍
