I’ve been wearing the Nicky Knot (or a close variant) more days than not since the fall of 1983; it’s good-looking, it’s versatile, and it really never goes out of style.
All right, man. You MUST begin to list your backing music. The quality and style of the background music is part of your brand at this point. So . . . lay it down, man. Cheers!
Nice looking knot. Though personally I prefer the simplicity of the Kent/Oriental knot for thicker ties & narrower collars or the symmetry of the Pratt-Shelby (my go-to) for thinner ties & wider collars. It's nice to know a number of knots, however. I might experiment.
Great video as always Brian! I usually always go with the four-in-hand or the double four-in-hand, but this seems to be a great alternative. Another plus could be that if you have nice hand rolled details on your tie, the back blade turned backward like that always really can help show off those great details. 👍😃
nice! always terrific emails/blog. however, i can;t understand why gents tie their ties with a closed collar straight up. try it with your top collar button open, and your collar down, as you wear it. tie the tie, *then* button the top button, and ease up the knot till the tie is snug and the knot is where you want it (presumably centered, but maybe not). that way, the collar doesn't bend or crease, and it always lays smoothly. thanks for the emails, and best from the u.s.
Really this tie knot isn’t Nicky knot. It can’t has Nicky name because of its structure. Classical Nicky knot has only five steps. By the structure this tie knot is a seven steps knot and it is a variaton of St. Andrew knot. The first five steps makes it look like a Nicky knot (and these steps are the same like Nicky has), but the last two turns makes it a variation of the St. Andrew's knot.
Although pulling one end through to undo the knot can be a little quicker, it can actually damage the stitching of your tie. I did it for a long time until I found that out. It's a lot better to just untie it

I really like your taste of clothing. Even UNIQLO looks stylish and sophisticated when you wear them. LOL
Appreciate the comment. Uniqlo is fantastic for the price point.

The Nicky knot is an unexpectedly amazing tie knot because you don’t need to make the dimple, it comes naturally.

Great video, loved the repeat in the second half. Where did you get that tie?
Nice! Glad you liked the repeat. The tie is by Drake's. It's older. Probably not available anymore.

more men should read this. the collar is a vital structure that makes the overall look.. care should be taken to ensure it remains smooth and straight
Is Nicky the official name? I was calling it the "double over" 😅
Double 4-in-hand is also known as the prince Albert.
Wrap twice, pull through, shows both loops when pulled, looks cool.
+chef souffle yessir.
Nice
🙏
You get a dimple with out even trying ugh 😆.
Please tell the brand of tie
You mean Victoria knot it’s pretty much a thicker version of the four in hand
