Ryan Hawley blew me away with his performance. It's not too often we see Robert so vulnerable and exposed like this but the raw emotion he portrays here is so intense. My heart broke for him when he said "You killed Mum".
It's scenes like this where you know just how good an actor Ryan is. He brings that balance that Karl Davies performance never could in my opinion. One moment you're looking at him like you want to murder him because he does despicable things and then you have scenes like this where Ryan allows you to truly feel bad for Robert. He allows empathy into the character and honestly makes him one of the most complex characters going in soapland right now. Robert never got over Sarah's death and never had closure with Jack. He always felt left out especially being blood and honestly i don't think Jack handled the situation in the best way. He may not have realized it but he really alienated Robert which led to his bitterness and resentment and set him on the path that he found himself on today. Everything Robert does is to stay on top and a lone wolf who can handle anything. He's manipulative, devious, bitter and can be downright hateful but then when he really loves someone he can be the most considerate and sweet and selfless person going. Look at him with Aaron. He made mistakes because he's lived that life for so long and can't just change in a matter of months. He's always going to struggle with those insecurities but he loves and supports Aaron so damn much, and under his resentment of Andy is a person who just want to feel like he belongs. He does love Andy and there's the complexity. He loves Andy but can't let go of Andy's responsibility for Sarah's death and how Robert's feelings were never considered. Robert also loves Victoria and is always there to protect her. In fact i think his relationship with Victoria is very sweet. Robert though is right Aaron hurts himself but Robert hurts others and i think he does that so he can't get hurt himself. He self sabotages but by hurting those he truly loves he ends up hurting anyway. Robert is an alpha male with sociopathic tendencies but it's all just a front because he's really a very vulnerable lost little boy who can't cope so puts on that front. He's so interesting to watch on screen and is so damn entertaining, both his schemes and his tenderness. I loved him and Aaron scheming against Ross and Chrissie and c'mon he may be a sugden but he's definitely got Dingle qualities and i wanna see more of that. Include Cain and Charity too.
Ryan and Kevin bravo incredible acting I wonder how they memorize their lines yet also the physical body movements are great. I heard this scene was filmed on a Saturday afternoon.
Now I'm really pissed off by Andy.... really, I can't stad him, his words, his behavior anymore. I need him to go away from Emmerdale.... he has decided that Robert killed Kate deliberately (and Robert goes on in saying that it was an accident... and we know that it's the truth... but he had decided not to listen) and so he feels legitimate to deliberately plan Robert's death.... how crazy is this ? How can be in front of the man he tried to kill (his brother...) and - once again - blame him ? In which part of this story he (Andy) take the responsability for his INHUMAN decision, his INHUMAN plan with Ross ?
Amen. Not to mention his lack of empathy for Robert’s being hurt by father sending him away. I stopped liking the character of Andy after this scene. What’s even more sad about this scene is neither them seem to recognized Robert’s father is the underlining cause of their discord.

Andy messed up when he allowed Aaron to take the fall for Katie’s death. You do not mess with Aaron. Robert will most definitely come for you if you do. His reveling in Robert’s father telling him never to come back is very off putting. As I watch this I wonder if there was always a part of Andy that was delighted Robert’s father related more to him than his own son. Andy has this underlined jealousy of Robert. He’s envious of Robert’s intelligence.
I feel so bad for Robert here andy has no Idea what it's like to lose the one person in your life who really understands you and loves you well maybe he does because jack was that for him but jack only did that to make Robert feel worthless and when Robert breaks down and says you killed mom Andy just blows it off like killing Robert's mother means nothing Andy makes me so mad
