Dark vs Maru is by far my favorite matchup. These two always deliver the most entertaining series on the highest level. I was like "What? Maru vs. Dark? Final? Cast by Harstem? Is it christmas already?" :D
Harstem, man, you crack me up-- from finding your respect for dancing after seeing yourself in a video dancing to buying a second house to store notebooks--your commentary is some of the best SC2 casting ever! You always keep it entertaining and the analogies are both hilarious and strangely accurate. Great work!

Love the Harstem cast - both for his encyclopedic game knowledge and experience - who better to summarize what is happening - and the humor in his cast. Bravo! 🎉
5th match the most exciting one in my opinion; also where you will find the legendary bridge keeper Liberator. 6th match: speed Banshe unusual to see in pro matchs, if I am not mistaken? That was cool to see, by the way.
I too thoroughly enjoyed Larry the Liberator. Also uThermal has been playing speed banshees in his Sky Terran challenge series lately and been showing how strong it can be, but you're right it's not super common to invest in banshee tech outside of cloak because they're kind of a stop-gap unit.
"not taking any risks here whatsoever. He's not saying 'I have balls of steel!' - no - no, he's saying 'Ive got balls of flesh and blood' " 🤔😅 Can't believe this isn't a common phrase already you brilliant man
18:58 Yes! This would be a fantastic ability! Reapers could perform an ollie, like a skateboarder. Just a quick pop up and back down in position if they are not moving, or if the reaper is moving then the ollie would move in the same direction with the reaper. You would need a fairly long cool down period otherwise melee units would be useless.
Hope the chair repair works out. With gorilla glue it bonds better if you put just a bit of water on the material, not much, just enough to get it slightly damp. Also because it expands so much, you often want to use masking tape to hold it together so it doesn't push itself apart as the glue dries. Fun series as well.
im the superior noah ignore this clown, dont use water to get it damp use vodka like a real man. also everybody knows that any chair that cant withstand mere glue deserves to have itself pushed apart and much worse. harstem dont fall for this charlatan's cheap parlour tricks look at that cursed line going through the o on his name who could trust someone with such a suspicious sign like that. looks like something straight out of world war 2 germany if you ask me. those guys were real mean i dont like them one bit.

Dark loves to cheese Maru, that's not new. But even knowing how cheesy Dark likes to play this series still took some crazy unexpected turns, map 1 was very indicative of the kind of matches we'd see.
Looks like Dark is bringing mass ling bane counter attacks back into the meta. I never understood why it rotated out of the meta so hard, it was a tool that made ZvT look easy. Yolo in ling bane to cripple the economy. Terran is forced to counter quickly but probably can't because they have to posture at the edge of creep. I wasn't following the tournament - had no idea Serral, Clem and Reynor were in it. Beyond shocked that Serral and Reynor went out last in their group against Protoss players lmao.
After the second stim cancel, why didn't he lift the barracks and put it next to the other on the left with only space for the tech lab? He would have really reduced the surface area.
It's weird how most Zerg tactics are called cheese while their equivalent are not, dropping marines is not cheesy, dropping zealots is not cheesy, dropping any zerg unit? CHEESE! Building a roach, CHEESE, building a Nydus, CHEESE... I think it is because Zerg has very limited 'solid' builds so any deviation is risky as heck and therefore considered cheese. The other races branch and specialize more naturally while zerg has the old school build design of a Warcraft 3 race.
Does harstem cast these blind? If so, how does he avoid getting spoiled before starting the cast? Seems that he’s casting from replay, which means he needs to avoid spoilers until the replay pack is out
Also dark does play lings with his cavebob with some consistency. It seems to be for tanking and for surrounding the bio, for the sole purpose of inhibiting movement. Since the lings have carapace, they actually have some tankiness, and they give you something to spend minerals on while your gas goes into hive upgrades and infestor
What are you talking about? Look at that game where Harstem keep saying Dark already won but Maru instantly flipped it. And the last game Maru lost because he did the one thing Harstem said not to do which is specifically not to attack into cave bob. By the way, Korean fans view Terran as the OP race while foreign fans think of Zerg as OP. But that's a matter of perspective. Foreigners have Serral and Reynor. Koreans have Maru. Maru won last GSL, herO before that, Zerg is getting battered at Korea actually. Currently, even Serral is having losing streaks. If there's anyone who got a raced nerfed to the ground, it's Serral. Take Protoss whining that they're the weakest race. What change did they receive? Nerfs. But then herO returned and demolished people. Turns out Protoss is strong, just with weak players. So stop with the whining because you're wrong. Harstem is part of the Council of pros that recommends balance changes. You'd think that he'd be buffing Protoss and nerfing zerg if it's OP. But no, Protoss was the race that received the biggest nerfs AND THEN rose to the top with herO carrying the race.
31:50 - how many times do we have to see this until we admit that banes need to be nerfed? FFS. This is one of the two best Terran players in the world and he can lose without hardly any work from the Zerg while Terran has to kill 17+ creep tumors to do no damage....just roll in the banes and win in a matter of seconds!
To be fair.. Dark stopped drone production and went for a "light" all in, after maru lost his marines and hellions quite easy. And there are also a lot of games where Maru pushes after the banelings destroyed his whole eco and wins, because zerg threw away all the banes. I have no clue about GM Terran but maybe one can argue if it would be better to have a planetary as 3rd when playing a mine style. Otherwhise its too easy to send a ling in front to dodge the mineshot and a-click banelings.
I think zerg is not as good for cheesing so I'm excited. And the cheese generally costs a lot more. With floating buildings terran barely pays anything to cheese/
What a clickbait title. Your recent "fix" (a fix, that pro players worked on) made game much less variable. So yeah... now you have to call bailings and multitasking a "cheese". Probably the next "cheese" thing is protoss using its warp ability... :(
