My all time favourite truck ...57-60 my uncle Nivaldo had a two tone white and red 1960 in the 70’s until as far as I can remember in the 80’s , he used to drive my grandma and I to places in it everywhere , he had it for years it had a 292 if I can remember it was a V8 for sure , I do remember the steering wheel being three spokes with like a screw type of effect on the steering wheel spokes ....my God it was beautiful.
I love this one for sure , that curved panoramic windshield is the epitome of 50’s icon .... Ford always step ahead in design , I always wondered about the pickup truck design creative team , I always wonder where they got those incredible designs from ? How it all come up ? Man it’s absolutely amazing to think about how they created those beautiful lines and designs .... we all take it for granted, but think about it ... someone had a vision ahead of its own time .... I bless every single one involved into creating those trucks that made history across the globe catching people’s eyes and heart forever as it’s impossible not to fall in love with any classic trucks , being Ford , Chevy or Dodge they are all awesome

Ford 59 is the meanest looking truck on the planet IMO. Growing up in San Diego back in the 70s, my buddy (like an older brother) had a 59 F250 4x4 daily driver. Oxidized beat to hell original brick red paint with 11:1 FORD 460 big block, real aluminum Cobra Jet heads and torque knuckle RV cam. Wasn't pretty to look at, but that thing was a balls hag'n monster that could light up all four tires. Coolest thing about it, he had the exhaust tips pointed down just in front of the rear axle, so when he revved it the ground shook and lose debris flew out like it was scared. The Brick as we called it, will always be the high mark of trucks for me.
I loved hauling Shiner Beer out of Shiner,TX and it's the best damn beer on tap.

The deadlines show. The panel gapping isn’t uniformed at all. The hood fits like shit! Charley Hutton (world class hot rod painter) said “you can teach a monkey to paint. But the real work is in the fit and finish”

My guess is that they like to build cars before 1975. In my state, the DMV does not impose smog requirements on vehicles before 1975.

If that was my truck I'd put a ford Racing motor in it
I would drop a 351 Windsor or 427 crate motor in it. Maybe even a 460.

watching this episode I saw something kinda weird. Great looking FORD TRUCK, But don't you have enough respect or knowledge to use a Ford engine. You let us and me down by taking an easy route on this build. And at what 150 thousand, I guess the new owner can fix this mistake.

This would have been an awesome truck if you hadn't f'd it up with a pos chevy motor! Now it's just another car show same ol, same ol. Put any Ford motor in it, even a staight 6 300 cube would be better than putting a government motors corp engine in a real truck.
