    confident that the supermarket will always be there to provide calories ? Well that is a good reason to become a new species. Until the economy collapses, industry stalls, industrial scale food production and distribution fails. What could possibly go wrong ? Not a thing says the fool.

    First of all the "singularity" happens every day. If a robot take a man's job that is a singularity. If McDonalds automates the store that is a singularity. Of course these people only think of themselves and are talking about when they will be out of a job. Second I hate when that is this long introduction and back slapping that goes on, on these type of shows. Sorry can't watch these things. Lastly where is the big answer that needs to be answered. What the hell are humans going to do after the singularity? And since we have nothing to do what good is the information that the AI's come up with? We have no jobs so we have no money to make anything that they will come up with. The only information that will be of any use to us is where the rains will be good enough to grow crops and feed the animals that we eat. We will become nomads moving from good place to good place. No more acting by people because of no money. No need for manufacturing because of no money. Even the dollar will become a thing of the past. Because food and water will be everything. But if anyone has a better idea for what awaits humans after this "singularity" please let me know.

    • @xmuzel
      @xmuzel 3 роки тому

      Oh boy, you're wrong on so many levels. When I code an expert system you'd call an AI that supersedes staff it isn't a singularity. That means I created a few frickin singularities in the past few years like every coder since a few decades haha lol.
      And furthermore, staff gets obsolete all the time in different positions. But new positions emerge. Same happened to me and I had to study again to get to a new position. Never neglect learning. Everybody has the potential. Everybody. Even me with ADHD lol. Study, get degrees, look for jobs that won't become obsolete. Like government jobs or become a scientist in the MINT field. And when you can't get a job, invent one that fills out a demand. It's possible. In my teens I was a lazy boy that skipped classes, couldn't sit still, played pc all the time, banged chicks and get drunk and high at workdays. I was lucky that I found a low wage job at all. But then I realized that I had to do something or I will be laid off or have to suffer because of old age poverty. So I went back to school, lived a few miserable years in poverty, finished school, started studying, got my degree, studied more, got my master's, studied even more (but didn't finish my Dr. haha) and now I work for the government in an IT position. And let me tell you, the road nearly killed me because I nearly burned out and starved. But I'm an undisciplined lazy fuck and it fucking worked nevertheless. Everybody has the potential. Be dedicated and live your life with open eyes.
