So this is a DIY video I've been wanting to post for you guys for such a long time and finally here it is! These DIYs are so affordable, the max I had to pay for a project for $5! I did the feather photo frames with my niece, her friend, and my nephew.
They're 10, 10, and 4 lol

I did the same sparkle gems from pinterest except i used several different bottles of cheap glitter nail polish. Worked out great.
I dig the painted feathers. I definitely want to give it a try!

I've actually gotten mod podge from dollar tree before.
It was a small bottle but still
LOL I was JUST fixing to tell ya'll that and I happened to look down and see your comment. Yep, they are small bottles but they actually work really good for small things like this. You don't run the risk of wasting too much if it tips over plus it doesn't dry out if you leave the big bottle open while you work. When I first saw the Mod Podge next to the glitter I was like " what in the world would I use such a tiny bottle for ? " but then I got a few and now look for it every time I run by the Tree !

You can make "mod podge" and texture pastes from cheap white glue (and cornstarch and acrylic paint for texture paste) I love experimenting with textures...have fun.

Love them all, but the plate stand and feathers were definitely my favourites... I just might make my own plate stand for cupcakes! and the feather art gave me great ideas for my lil sister for Christmas. We always make each other gifts and have a strict £5 budget.

Laura Annette use E6000 not hot glue it will hold better if you actually want to use real candles rather than LED tea lights.

The first craft works well with glittery nail polish as well!
With the candlestick holder and plate craft, the hot glue will not make it stick. Use the E6000 from Michaels, it will hold much better.
E600 can be purchased at the family dollar or dollar general too for cheaper :)

Great ideas! They do sell Mod Podge at Dollar Tree. You can also apply nail polish onto the gems then apply glitter polish or glitter on top for more gradient affect.

I know what I'm doing tomorrow... all of these crafts. plus I think the glitter gems would be great for my 4 and 10 yr old children to do with me.
You can find small 2oz bottles of Mod Podge at the Dollar Tree and in the Target Dollar Spot! Love all the projects--we will be trying some soon! I am sure my 3 daughters would love to make the flower head pieces! Thank you!

I am going to try the candle and also see if they have a small trash can to match to go in a bath room.
i goto dollar tree for nail files (they have diamonds), and emery boards- both can be used for wood crafts, wood carving, and are better than wood rasps or metal files.. and they're are just $1 for a lot!
if you need a good piece of plexiglass, check the picture frame and crafts aisle- nice finds there!

you can put magnets on the back of the gems
I love these. but on the feathers one, while its still wet i'd comb it nicely out and make sure its faded good.
My daughter and her kids are moving to their own place. The candle holders will make great gifts for her room and her 10 year old daughter's room.

my dollar tree in northern California has small bottles of mod podge. its in the school section an sometimes in the crafty areas.
you can get small bittles of modgpodg at the dollar store if you really look! I got the matte and glos

you could've used nail polish instead for the pebbles instead of glitter. and you could add magnet rounds on the back to make it cute magnets.....
