- Well,,the fake Windows Longhorn sounds are actually made by Samsung lol, neither Microsoft nor Deep Fantasy Neo sounds.Windows Longhorn always used Windows XP sounds (later builds with some Windows Vista RTM sounds)

Still cant believe we were fooled with these sounds 17 years ago.
Same
Me too
Ballyweg should have uploaded
Windows 3.1 Shutdown (chimes)
Windows 95 Shutdown (same as 3.1 startup)
Windows NT4.0/NT5.0 Shutdown
Windows NT5.0 Startup
Windows 2000 Beta Startup
Windows 2000 Beta Shutdown
I always thought these sounds were real until I found out that windows longhorn uses windows xp sounds
And when I first heard Windows Longhorn with the Windows XP Startup Sound, I was like “Sorry, wrong sounds”.
Fun Fact: I have fake Longhorn sounds Installed on my Grandma's house Computer with WinXP.
haha i also did that but i trashed my windows xp crt monitor computer forever ago lol
Ur grandma will be like: wHy R aNgLeS sHoUtInG wHeN i BoOt My CoMpUtEr?
Wow that’s great
Yooo same
same, I use xp more than anything else, it works if you get the right software.
The sounds are beautiful, but Longhorn never used these sounds...
windows longhorn fake startup is so bad i am glad that it is fake
yes sadly,Longhorn would be perfect if Microsoft bought these sounds and applied in Windows Longhorn.
@@colawin i don't agree they are so sad like its so sad Aaaaaa aaaaa said by a female suffering
@SoKaiFan no it isn't its sad
@@hirotoball its beautiful
I didn't know that the whole pack was made by Samsung even though I found out that some sounds were used in Samsung phones (e.g. hardware insert aka cosmic radio as a notification sound in some phones)
I currently have a Samsung Galaxy A53 5G I have a cosmic radio notification.
@@ruzil.minekaeeeev the same on my M54 5G
@@ruzil.minekaeeeev same on a Galaxy a54 5g
I guess the soundscape being fake doesn't fundamentally change it, but it still makes me sad, I love to rock the soundscape on my PC

Finally i found the origin "Windows Longhorn" sounds!
Yeah, Over time of the years, I already begun to suspect some "Beta Windows Sounds", specially when i watching some videos from Windows betas installing on Virtual Machines, much from these videos NEVER had the famous "beta windows sounds"
Specially from Win2000 Beta 3, Whistler and the "exclusive UK" Windows Server 2003.
Still, it would haven be interesing that Microsoft bought these sounds, and using these sounds on Windows Vista and 7 from Special Themes.
Yeah, these sounds fits perfectly for the Interface and Aero for Windows Vista and 7, shame....
PS: Sorry my some crappy english, i'm chilean.
Yes it would be interesting if Microsoft bought this sound.
Too bad it's impossible to make everyone know since because of the following,
1: over 75% of people don't know this and believe that they're the actual sounds.
2: some people who DO see this say that this is fake instead.
3: some people don't use virtual machines and just believe what they hear.
This also goes for other fake sounds as well, so we are just gonna have to deal with the fact that over 75% people believe the fake sounds instead of the real sounds.
well vms are kinda confusing
It's definitely not a coincidence that cosmic radio and hardware insert sound so similar
2:58 is this just me or all people because i see you just repeating the "start navigation" sound just looks cute
oh so thats why samsung used the hardware insert as Cosmic Radio notification sound
Yeah
I wish Windows Longhorn pre-reset and post-reset from 2003 to 2005 actually used these sounds
definitely fooled me when i first heard them! idk about anyone ekse but i'd personally LOVE to use an OS with these sounds, even if they are fake. something about them just seems so calming, and makes the computer feel like a magical experience
I love how the Samsung scheme Print Complete *IS THE SAME THING*
damn for 2 years the windows beta startup compilation had me fooled
Nice this a big step on breaking the misinformation
These had me fooled for MUCH longer. Like around when Vista came out even, or was about to be RTMed, people were claiming these sounds were Longhorn sounds IIRC.
I guess I thought if you look at screenshots of Longhorn's development process, there were a LOT of scrapped UI themes that they tested, so it seemed sort of sensible that MS made and scrapped a sound theme in some build or something, especially considering there was a development reset and Vista was delayed.
Thinking about it, they do sound like something you would hear on old Samsung phones.
One of the sounds was actually used as a ringtone on an old Samsung, and another was used as a notification sound on a newer Samsung.
Most of y'all would say i joined youtube in 2023 but i'm serious, when i heard these sounds i immediately recognized it from my old samsung laptop i had in 2008
It sounds very similar in style to their phones from the late 2000s with the female vocals.
Love those sounds to death, and when I first heard them as a kid I found them kind of creepy.
I have those sounds on a really old Vista VM from 2019. They were originally from 2003 I believe.
What screen recorder you're using? The quality at 1:27 is low.
OBS .I guess the reason of the quality of the video is so low because the resolution of my vm is too high and causing the reduction of quality as I have zoomed in the screen while editing.
Unrelated but how did you put the trailer in the premiere?
2:12 Windows longhorn startup used for wake up

For Additional proof, (as other comments state) the "cosmic radio" notiifcation sound on all Samsung phones with the latest update, and the sch-i835 phone startup and shutdown. I also heard the samsung blackjack has the "NetMeeting receive call" as one of its ringtones but I haven't checked that.
device insert samsung it's cosmic radio
Microsoft always used the XP sounds from 2001 to 2007

3:07 why do I feel like I’ve heard that Before. ITS DRIVING ME INSANE I NEED TO KNOW WHERE IVE HEARD IT.
Edit: It’s the Universal Updater for Modded 3DS’s
how about the second startup sound?
the second one sounds more futuristic or more good
The fake startup for beta 1? That was used for the speech recognition in beta 1 builds.
The fake startup for beta 2? That was used at the outro for the Windows Vista Beta 2 tutorials.
1:51 Windows longhorn shutdown used for sleep
It's a shame, because I'd loved to see Longhorn have it's own sound scheme
Even if it’s not it sounds, I think you can still install the sound scheme on Longhorn though.
Well but SOME NOT ALL sounds are from the real longhorn
The only fake here its the startup and shutdown
Just test all the builds yourself in virtual machines
The Fake Longhorn Is So Calming

i wonder what would happen if you put this sound pack on windows longhorn

I like how someone just one day asked themselves, "Wouldn't it be fucking hilarious if I fooled the internet into believing some Samsung sounds were from a beta version of Windows Vista?"
Did Ballyweg Trick me in to thinking these were used in Windows Vista Beta?
I applied this sound scheme on my Windows 11 laptop and it worked
Can you install them on a Longhorn build?
yup
It may cause error because Windows Longhorn builds have the NT kernel as 6.0, not 5.1 like XP.
So, let's just install the sound scheme instead.
Yeah, it may be possible with Application Verifier
1:39 hmm sounds like that samsung notification

How make trailer Of premier?
You can go to the video upload settings, change the video upload the schedule settings and tick the box with “set your video to premier”. Then click the “premier setting” and at the bottom ,there will have a option to choose a video within 15 seconds to 3 minutes as the trailer video.
