P Flores, I've never heard the English version until this year when I stumbled upon Doris Day's version, and I heard the album its from is no longer available :(. Either way, its always been a favorite of mine. I used to go to dances for wedding receptions or quinceaneras, or just dances held somewhere where Tejano bands would play, and this was always in their repertoire, and some forty years later, I still love that song. Doris Day's version is truly lovely, too. And, I know that beautiful Spanish songs don't translate well in English. I've always wondered why, but, I guess that's the 64,000 dollar question. LOL!
