God, the intro of this song gets me every. Single. Time. The original song is probably one of the most atmospheric songs I’ve ever heard, and this somehow makes it even better.
This song samples Hyperlips (2011) where the Oberheim DMX claps were heard samples the 1983 Australian Vestron theme which samples the Videospots 4 (1983) where the Roland Jupiter-6 patch "Brass" was heard and 1987 Qintex Entertainment theme.
Good to know! Impressive, really. May I ask how you are able to discern the individual sounds so accurately? Like how can you tell one synth sound from one that sounds almost exactly the same..but from a different instrument? Are you just that familiar w/ specific synths?
I do too, and I'm pretty sure it's because of the initial synth brass at 0:06. Before the drums kick in, Forgone Destruction opens with a 16-bar phrase of a nice smooth sine wave looping seven notes in a rising-falling pattern. This track also opens with a 16-bar phrase of a similar rising/falling melody loop, and the synth brass used in this track is played in around the same frequency as the sine wave from Forgone Destruction.
"Who will be the master and who will be the slaves in a future dominated by super intelligent machines?" Mentat Humans will be the masters and the machine will always be the slaves to man. So it has been for 200 years and so it shall be till the end of time.

@@brandenlucero In my experience retrowave and synthwave really aren't the same. Synthwave has a heavier tone and there are many artists who have their own unique sound within the genre. Such as "dark wave," as some people call it. Retrowave tends to be music trying to recreate that 80s brit and aussie band feel.
Paul Likiardopoulos , PARTYNEXTDOOR & Trevor something sampled (Com truise ,hyperlips ) why are basically straight up identical but I appreciate the efforts in the songs

I've heard of this between com truise songs
Anyone else get a "Facing Worlds/Forgone Destruction" vibe from this?
And to go with that, I'd love to see an instrumental version of this song.
Go listen to Com truise- hyperlips
+jetex1911 Ayy yeah I get that too haha didnt think I'd find a UT99 here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're talking about Foregone Destruction off of the Unreal Tournament OST, I can kind of hear it.
It hadn't hit me till' now, but this song meshes perfectly with Blade Runner's storyline

This song makes me think to Data from Star Trek TNG. I wish someone would make a music video of Data clips for this song
If the machines are super smart than what do they need people for ? Except to probably to maintain them so humans would be the slaves.
This song would fit good in gta 6
Would you grind w/ur S/O to this? 😏

Remix? More like Trevor Something feat. Com Truise, the instrumental isn't even changed, still a nice song tho.
