I have a similar Dremel, but it's rechargeable. I also bought the flappers, but I've been scared to try them! I'm going to practice on a cup waiting to be stripped. When done with the cup, I like to clean the inside with spray on Barkeeper's Friend, then Dawn. It works great!

I purchased an "off brand" dremel from Harbor Freight and LOVE it. and it's about 1/3 the price for anyone who needs something more budget friendly.

Acetone and Magic Erasers work wonders. They also make magic eraser sheets instead of the thick ones that work well.

The essential oils and the magic erasers work too if you do not want to use acetone.

I always use a magic eraser with acetone. It comes off super quick!

Omg you are a girl after my own heart
I am so.. What is the fastest way to do this...lol. I SO RELATE.
honestly. I use those silicone inserts as a prep item. Keeps the inside cleaner
Or I tape the inside with either painters tape or even packing tape
I have no patience for clean up...
But this was great... Thank you!

I purchased a Dremel about 30 years ago when I was into miniatures. I am so glad I bought it then. I still works as if it was new. Missing some parts. But I was able to buy that flap thingy to clean the rims. And also bits for making small holes for keychains.
So I too echo, buy a Dremel brand. You won't regret it!

Dremel is the brand 💜 I will not pretend like I knew that before my husband told me. They are pricey because they are a name brand rotary tool. I didn’t know either. I told my hubby I needed a Dremel and he gave me a knock off he had in the garage. He later gifted me an actual Dremel.

    I’m taking the plunge
What do you call the wheel that was purchased separately to go along the edge of the cup?

      I see
      Silly me
It is the flap wheel and you have it seated on the piece behind the wheel

This was very helpful. I just got a dremel and I love it. Can you do a close up of what the rim looks like after on IG? Like how much sliver should be showing. I always feel like I show way to much.

Skins the largest organ of the body. Pls use gloves when using goof off. FYI for anyone who reads. You may not be chemically sensitive today but it can creep up on you. Trust me.
