Arsenal are close to agreeing a deal in principle with Bologna over the signing of defender Riccardo Calafiori.
Bologna have been holding out for €50m (£42.2m) and Sky Italy are reporting discussions continue over a payment structure and clauses.
Personal terms are not expected to be a problem. Calafiori's former club Basel stand to make 50 per cent of Bologna's profit on any deal.

What a signing! Arsenal will easily win the league this season.
- They never loose their players, while City keep loosing players. Bernado Silva and Julian Alvarez are apparently on the radar of European Giants. While Ederson is wanted at Saudi. While Arsenal players are not being targeted by PSG, Real Madrid, Barca or the Saudi clubs.
More stability and they keep getting stronger.
- They will be super extra motivated while City's motivation will be at an all time low
- Liverpool are in transition. Chelsea and Man United are far away from challenging.
So I see Arsenal running away with the league easily. They are so hard to score against and most EPL teams have no answer to their tactical play.

This is not a reinforcement point. We need a replacement for Thomas. Calafiori is an unknown player with no Premier League experience due to a serious injury. We should have held off on Kivor and used him. Arteta is bad at training.
