CM is the next and then likely a striker next year. I hope to see some youngsters given a chance this season. we haven't had anyone break into the team under Mikel. I worry when we see players like Omari Hutchinson leave for free only for chelsea to sell him.

The list is endless, and all have played their part. Injuries to defenders haven’t disrupted City, as they had so much quality on the bench. Arteta is attempting to gather the same squad strength to compete. Calafiori is exceptional, and will amazing cover if Saliba or Gabriel get injured. We were very lucky with those 2 last season where they played nearly every game.

Saliba and Gabriel shouldn't be playing 50+ games a season. Timber and Tomiyasu can play right centre back and Calafiori (and Kiwior if he remains) can play left centre back. Both Timber and Calafiori may end up being as good as Saliba and Gabriel and there will be no penalty in resting them. You need a "first team" of 20 players to compete with City, where you can rotate and not weaken the team.
Good problem to have, but most importantly gives you lots of options depending on the team or the situation they’re in. Nice to have this much depth considering it’s a long season and we will be competing in 4 competitions.
