I do not own any of the clips that I upload. All clips belong to Major League Baseball.
Thank you all so much for watching this series until the very end. Whether or not you agreed with me, I hope you all enjoyed my countdown. This was one of the best things I've done on UA-cam, and I appreciate all your feedback and loyalty to the series.
EXE-Edits dude I loved this series. Thanks so much for uploading these videos!👍
You might have to make a countdown for every decade. We've had a taste now.
EXE-Edits do top 20 clutchest hits of all time
That's just an Ortiz highlight reel
You did a great job man
I was rooting for the Cubs but Rajai's homer was the most exciting moment. So unlikely from an unlikely player. Late in the game. The roar of the crowd. Pure joy.
check Rajai's career highlights. it's not unlikely at all. the guy has been clutch all his career! it's a wonder why he's been traded so many times...
Dorvid Roar of the crowd was road fans, the game was in Cleveland
Tyler Jerabek
He was playing for the Indians when he hit the fucking home run.
And on a pitch that probably had no business being hit for a HR.
@@tylerjerabek5204 why would the road fans be roaring for a Cleveland home run when the game was in Cleveland? Lmfao
You know it's a good game when even Joe Buck is getting excited
Joe doesn't get excited unless Troy is around.
Thebeengolfin
Or Clayton Chokeshaw
Lol
So annoyed that he’s calling the world series
He must have dirt on someone cause he isn't at all qualified for "COLOR" commentary
Gawd I hate when ppl try to say baseball is boring, the definition of dramatic 💪
Regular season baseball can get pretty boring.
However, postseason ball is where it's at
@@14cole19 agreed
Austin Cole and at the very beginning of the season to see what you’re team looks like and see what they might be able to do
@@14cole19 unless is August or September baseball. That's probably the best baseball in the regular season
Nicky Robinson people who say baseball is boring are brain dead basketball fans, what do you expect lol
My god as a cubs fan I still go through the same emotions I felt that night when watching these highlights
Same
Rewatching it again 7 years later and that's still true for me.
I’m from Cleveland and even though we lost, this was the best game I’ve ever watched live other than game 7 of 2016 nba finals
That is one of Cleveland best sports moments in the last 50 years #2 I will put 1997 as number 3 and of course 2016 NBA finals game 7 number one I'm from Detroit so I don't have a dog in this race
This game brings back so many anxious memories, I've never been more on edge watching a baseball game.
The Rajai davis home run always gives me chills
Been a suffering Cubs fan my whole life. This was on a different level from the start of the magical 2016 season. The pressure of every pitch wanting to jump out of my skin after they tied it. Thank mother nature for the breather. This game transcended any other feeling sporting events have provided for me since '77. What a magical season in its entirety for the Cubbies and their fan base.
Amazing quality, amazing stuff, bro. Every game -- even the painful, painful Game 7 of the 2001 WS -- was worth it here. Thanks for your hard work.
Oh yeah real painful when your team loses in 7 games after winning three WS in a row and 4 of the last 5./s
Candeluce that doesn’t take away from anything though... if anything it would have made the most sense for NY to win that series because of 9/11
Doctor Calamari I mean yeah you can go with the 9/11 angle but in that same vein there were probably just as many met fans affected by it and most met fans despise the yankees and their dominance so it was uplifting for them.
Anthony Kim
Oh I feel soooo bad for you yankees fans 😒 HELL no stop acting like you don’t have enough rings.
You mean Arizona scoring 2 in bottom of the 9th off Rivera??
I love how Rizzo pocketed the game winning ball while he was running to the plate😂😂😂
Even though this was two years ago, I was still on the edge of my seat rooting for the Cubs. Wish I saw this live!
Of course this game!!! Red Sox fan but this is the best game I’ve ever seen. I’ll never forget how crazy my dad and I went after the final out!
Im a fellow cubs fan and i respect you brother
Great list couldn't have a better ending. This game will always be one of the greatest of all time. Good job. 👍
I watched this game in Wrigleyville. The crowd outside of Wrigley Field grew to outside of the bar and beyond. It was such an exciting game. There were times I could throw up out of excitement and times I could throw up out of disappointment. This game was great, but the Cubs came back from being down 3-1. The whole series was crazy. What a night man, what a night.
I drove 10 hours to watch the game, watched it and drove 10 hours home... one of the greatest nights ever!!
Here's a game: Everytime the announcer says "back at the wall" you have to do five pushups, have fun being ripped af
My dads been a cubs fan since he was 6 in 83 in and that home run in the 8th I was shivering I will always remember that moment
This was one of my most favorite series I’ve watched on UA-cam. Ever. I LOVED it. Please do more like this.
Yes! This HAD to be number one. This was probably the greatest baseball game that will ever be played!
Can you do top 10 meaningful games?
One example... WS game 7, they won it for Chicago, a WS Win in 108 years.
Another... Mets @ Marlins, the game after José Fernandez passed away. They won it for him.
Thx bro
Gaming Volunteer he did it, great idea!
Or Mets/ Braves days after 9/11, that come from behind homer by Piazza.
Hey sox fan here it wasn’t done for Chicago, sox won in 2005. Only the north side really appreciated that win.
Gaming Volunteer colon pitched that game lol
The Bartman game should have been included- the sheer immaturity of a team giving up an 8-run inning after a freaking foul ball with just a guy on 2nd
Everyone gives all the credit to Zobrist but the cubs wouldn’t of won without Monteros hit
Yeah
Exactly
You don’t know that. They could have pitched differently and done more to keep runners from advancing. They basically gave Cleveland that 1 run because it didn’t matter
"wouldn't have won"
There’s another scenario to ponder:
If Kris Bryant was called out at the plate instead of safe in the 4th inning, that takes two runs off for the Cubs. That means instead of Rajai Davis hit being the tying home run, it would be the go ahead home run and the Indians would’ve won 6-4, provided you don’t change everything else in the game
Mother Nature was on the Cubbies side that night.
Charles Abrell Mother Nature was crying because of how the cubs sold out to win the World Series and lost all integrity and honor in doing so. That city is cursed in a new way now.
@@andrewbova5887 lmao no the cubs were just better
Aden Krueger nah, they sold out bro, it’ll come back to haunt them.
@@andrewbova5887 How did they sell out?
Mike ! And Ike’s they sold out so they could toss each other’s salads for the last 7 years until Jesus Christ returns and their leader satan and his army of GLBTQ have to go to hell for eternity... I’ll stick to the beaver.
That rain had to be the tears of joy from all the Cubs fans of the past who loved them and knew they would be winning it!
Great series! A top ten of the 90s would be cool!
Even though it’s still painful five years later, this was the greatest game of all time.
Both #1 and #2 will always be remembered in MLB history. Being a Cubs and an Astros fan, I couldn’t be more happy 😊
Let me start with the trailer for Game 7:
"Do you remember the year? That season the Cubs, the Indians won the World Series? You don't do you? But this year one city will live it. You need not remind the faithful in Chicago, in Cleveland dreams dont always come true. This year, they will. For those men we call ball players. For those fans in the stands. For those in Cleveland. In Chicago. In Illinois. In Ohio. The Midwest, the Nation and the World.
With one win, one city will experience the year it finally happens. As the hopes of generations come down to one game."
I'll say it again. Don't let anybody tell you that baseball is a boring sport EVER again. If you're a fan of baseball in general it's not hard to see why this is the #1 game of the 21st century at least for now.
First ever leadoff home run in a World Series Game 7. David Ross taking Andrew Miller deep in his last game. Rajai Davis with his highlight bomb to tie the game, watching that ball sail into your TV with an amazing camera shot. And of course it had to go to extra innings. This game crystallizes baseball in its purest form. It was a test of wills, of who wanted it more.
This was an incredible game to watch from the first pitch to the last out.
And Don't forget that the winning play is iconic and memorable
We should get Morgan Freeman to say this. Get some good editing, this could legit be a great half hour long documentary.
I’ve been a Cub fan forever and will spend the rest of my life convinced that David Ross’ solo shot in the 6th saved the Cubs from yet another heartbreaking loss.
@@rebelpilot2176😂😂👏🏾
This was amazing, easily my favorite series ever.
Lighting Luke this and 2017 were the best in a long time
TopazHunter 2017 is tainted
Horrible pitching changes by Maddon
??? How so?
He used Chapman when the cubs had a huge lead in game 6 and then brought him out in the middle of game 7. He should have brought out Arrieta and saved Chapman for the 9th
I disagreed with him being put in in game 6 when they were up 5 runs, but he did admit he messed up. Game 7 though, I understood the move. Also he came in with 2 outs in the 8th inning. He really just needed 4 outs.
Kartkid024, True...
@@Kartkid024 I wouldve kept hendricks in the 5th... try and get him through.. bring lester next inning. Kendricks had one heck of a game
Not gonna lie, I jumped out of my seat when Rizzo caught the baseball for the final out. I loved every second of this game, and I’m glad that you decided to feature it at number 1.
My 74 year old grandpa has been a life long Cubs fan and same goes for me and my family but when the Cubs won the World Series I had never seen my grandpa so happy. It is a moment I will never forget this whole game will go done as probably the best game in Cubs history
Thank you so much for choosing this game, that home run in the 8th is my favorite home run i’ve ever seen, thank you so much for choosing this game
I’m a Cubs fan and I remember be so mentally invested in this game that when Davis hit that home run to tie, It didn’t just hurt mentally but physically as well and had to turn it off for a few minutes. I thought for sure after that they would loose. To this day I refuse to watch that home run because the emotions it brings up.
I can't watch this bro. I'm already depressed enough
I felt the same way with Rangers blue jays and rangers cardinals
terminator99 rangers are shit
At least the rangers have a future, one star 3rd baseman can’t carry the blue Jays in the future
Jays fan The Rangers may be bad but their not Toronto by any means
terminator99 have you seen the Jay's farm system. LMAO the rangers are the blue jays punching bags.
This game made me feel every emotion possible
I couldn't believe it when he took Hendricks out. He walked one guy with 2 outs! All to put his boy, clumsy Jon Lester in the game, but I guess it made it more interesting, you don't see anyone talking about game 7 2017
Nabre Labre I know, I thought Maddon was crazy too! And after Lester was pulled, using Chapman. Especially considering Chapman had been, really, the only reliever it seems like he had used the whole series.
Ryan0413 I think he had used Chapman the previous 2 or 3 games also. Even after Lester got settled in he should have left him in. Chapmans speed was down and he's already not that accurate.
Seriously tho I’m a cubs fan and it really pissed me off... Madden took out the era leader of baseball
Nabre Labre in my opinion game 5 2017 surpasses this.
Pennsylvania this game had more meaning
What an amazing game. From Chicago and this game will forever be in my heart.
This game legitimately shaved probably 10 years off my life.
And I’m so glad I went through it.
It still gives me chills.
Great list! Most intense games I've ever watched and Go Cubbies!
I get goosebumps ever time I watch Rajai Davis hit the ball and hear JOE BUCK get excited and say “drive into left! At the wall... it’s gone!!!!”
As a cubs fan this was the greatest day of my life

I moved to Chicago in '63 and was instantly a Cubs fan. Many, many trips by train and El to Wrigley. Saw Ernie Banks hit his 499th homer against the Reds. I've had many ups and downs as a Cubs fan, but the 2016 World Series game seven was the most intense and gratifying experience I ever had as a fan. Cheers....
Chapman had the same look when altuve bombed his throw😂
True
By cheating
Paleocon Joe Altuve didn’t cheat and it was in 2019
Even though this was 2 years ago it still gets my blood pumping!
A real-life definition of "The Greatest Game Ever Played!"
That Cub/Indians game 7 was bonkers. I'm a Tigers fan and I was cheering for the Cubs the whole time. That drama, the "Oh shit are they gonna pull it off?" Was just incredible. Such a good game. Every world series should be a game 7 like that was.
It would be a classic World Series between the Red Sox and the Chicago Cubs. That would be a dream matchup
SONICX1027 they were pretty close in 2003
Could happen this year
Do birds have teeth?
Haven't you ever heard of a bird dentist?
It will happen this year.
Watching the replay still getting the chills. What an amazing game.
I still think my Indians would have won if there wasn't that damn rain delay. Still an amazing game and an insane series. Thanks Exe
De'kwon no excuse for choking a 3-1
If the Cavs didn't troll the Warriors for blowing a 3-1 lead, it wouldn't have bit Cleveland in the ass. That's what they get
I thought they would win after Davis hit that HR. I won't lie I cried a few tears when he did that. Thinking the Cubs were this close...
I thought Cleveland was going to win after the Davis home run. That series was weird as far as rooting interests go, because I really wanted the Cubs to end the drought, but my girlfriend's whole family are Indians fans. I spent Game 7 reacting one way with my family and the exact opposite with her! Great series all the way around. Also, to those nagging on the Indians for blowing a 3-1 lead and it's what Cleveland deserved after trolling the Warriors, those two are apples to oranges. Cleveland, in all honesty, weren't expected to be there at all with the injuries they had going into the postseason and the team that came back from that 3-1 series deficit (the Cubs) had the best record in the majors that year. The Warriors on the other hand...they had the best regular season record ever and blew the 3-1 lead.
De'kwon I don't think the rain delay ain't do nothing. The tribe just ran out of energy after the 8th inning.
so exciting watching these guys playing, i always have been a baseball fan in europe, hope to watch someday a real game live ...
I was sure of your pick for 1st place :)
Great work Thanks a lot
I love how Rizzo just tosses up his glove like I don’t need this anymore
5:54 if Russell had made that play...
As a Cubs fan, this was an excruciatingly amazing experience. For one, I really like the Indians as well, so I was wishing that it was any other fanbase than them. Second, poor pitcher management. I was upset when they pulled Hendricks, that led immediately to 2 runs, and then again when they pulled Lester, led to 3 runs. By now, it's well known that those moves were mistakes. When Rajai hit that homerun, I can't describe it. I had a feeling as soon as Chapman came in that something terrible was gonna happen, and then 2 batters in we had a tie game. My heart almost stopped when Kipnis hit that foul ball in the 9th, but luckily in retrospect it was nowhere near. The rain delay really was what sealed it for us; let the team meet, reset, get a solid mindset. If that didn't happen, The Cleveland Indians would be the 2016 World Series Champions, all because Addison Russell couldn't handle a tough hop ground ball with 2 outs in the 8th. Now then, we don't live in that world, and my team won the 2016 World Series officially at 12:45AM Eastern Time on November 3rd, 2016 - My birthday. I got to watch it with my parents. I got the one thing I wanted for my birthday. This game is both terrible and amazing at the same time. BUT! The only thing I hope is that the Indians fanbase gets to experience the same elation as I did sometime soon. They deserve it for sure.
PS: I just binge-watched all of these from 1-10, and I loved them all. The only game I woulda switched out was game 7 of the ALCS 2003 for game 4 of the 2004 ALCS. But, I can forgive that since you included game 7 of the 2001 WS. I appreciate the balance considered in the list. It was a great series for sure, and you deserve all the support you've received. Keep it up. Subbed.
U deserve like 1 trillion subs bro this was a great series
Even though the Cubs won it all, that Davis HR will be one of the most memorable plays in baseball history
really enjoyed this series!
I remember watching this and thinking how deserving both teams were to win, i was happy for the cubs for ending that drought but i felt bad for cleavland making it to game 7 and loosing, im a yankees fan but that night i was a cubs fan for the night! Great game!
Great list, this was the best game of the 21st century! Great series EXE-Edits!
Cubs Baseball biased fuck
It wasn't
Speederman 67 lol you are just salty because the trash game you wanted wasn't on here...
So Cubs fans are apparently biased for saying this was the best game. What does that mean for non Cubs fans who also think it's #1? They can't be biased.
Ville24 says a cubs fan
As a Cleveland sports fan, this my sports life story. They get close enough to win it all just to break your heart. The NBA finals in 2016 was our one big win in recent history but I have a feeling thats it for a while.
it is a shame you left out Almora tagging up from first on Bryant's fly ball in the 10th. The game might have played out very differently if he was stuck at first.
As a Cubs fan, this game still feels like a dream to me. Never had I ever experienced such a rollercoaster of emotions within such a short span of time. Even though I know the result, I always get nervous rewatching this game, and seeing Rajai Davis put one out still makes me want to throw up. Anyway, this one will stick with me for the rest of my life. Let's go Cubbies!
Coming from an Indians fan, I'm watching this again and my stomach just hurts watching it through. Like this game crushed the souls of all Indians fans, then the 2017 ALDS basically took our already crushed souls and ran them over with a dumptruck.
Dought the Indians will ever recover from that game 7.
LilBoi Cajun coming from a Cubs fan you guys still got a kick-ass team, I have no doubts about the Indians ability to make it deep in the playoffs.
F
Absolutely this. Growing up I was a diehard baseball fan. Watched every single game I could, the All Star game was held on my birthday almost ever year, just loved everything about the game. After a hellish Little League year in which the coaching staff tore the love of the game out of every kid and then the Bartman game, my heart broke and I swore off baseball forever. I didn't watch a single pitch since. I swore I'd only watch a game if the Cubs could win the World Series. I spent this entire post season not giving a single care. Nothing matters unless we win. Then it all came down to a game 7. I sat down and watched this game, and it immediately brought me back to a 10 year old boy completely enraptured by baseball. What a game.
Yes yes yes another top 10 video. Good morning exe
This series was great. Would be cool to see one consisting only of regular season games too
I’ll tell you what, we’ve had some fantastic World Series games the past few years.
2017 Game 5
2016 Game 7
2015 Games 1 & 5
2014 Game 7
you know it's a great game when a play from the losing team is considred one of the best playts of the decade
Great series, I still can't believe the Indians didn't win after that comeback
We beat you fair and square but you put up the fight of your lives. What an intense game, that's what makes baseball so fun to watch.
Steel Potato Indians suck lol jk
Wow, it's great you chose two of our games (#1 and #9), both worthy. #3 was really-really good, too!. Good job on all picks and put-togethers! To have Hammy call the end of #9 is especially pleasing to this fan!
I watched your whole list and its great but in fifty years your number 3 will be remembered as the best. What David Freese and the cardinals did will be forever in the annals of baseball history.
brighterwest
*not biased at all
Cubs MLB Perfect Inning Gaming I probably am bias but cardinals were down to there last strike two times and came back to win the World Series. Cubs blew a lead and then won in extra innings. It doesn't even compare.
This is probably the game to introduce someone to modern day baseball. Legendary! I love my Phils but game 7 Cubs Indians, best game I've ever watched!
Loved this series man great job
As a Red Sox fan I was rooting for the Cubs because we all know what it’s like to wait generations for our team to win. I could feel the collective gasp when Davis tied it in the HR. It was a hell of a game.
#2 was way better but i aint even mad cuz what a great series
Mikkel Vlietstra agree
i think in the pure game it was but the way the cubs came back from being down 3-1 in the series. And they hadn’t won the world series in like 108 years
I feel if #2 was a game 7, then I agree. Being game 7 puts this one slightly above
There was more excitement within the game itself, but OP has been clear the whole time that that's just one criterion. Nothing comes close to what was at stake in 2016 for these teams.
They're both great, but given the circumstances I would give the Cubs/Indians the #1 spot still. The Astros/Dodgers was exciting, fun to watch, everyone loves a walk off. The Cubs/Indians was stressful, tense, impossible to stop watching, and maybe most importantly - Game 7
They also both had their problems.
The pitching was horrible in the Astros/Dodgers game. Some pretty bad fielding in the first half gave the Dodgers a couple runs that should of never happened.
Joe Maddon was making a lot of panicked decisions that may or may not have lead to the Indians almost winning the game.
cubs @ Indians was the most hysterical thing in sports history. You can’t say no to that
Great series dude watched it all and enjoyed every bit of it!
I know the cubs win the game and everything but every time I see this my arms are weak and I get nervous. Its insane. I remember all my emotions and crying I did during the game especially during Davis' s clutch bottom 8 homerun. I remember crying like a baby. Insane. Go Cubs!
I remember after that home run I’m not even kidding I passed out crying and didn’t wake up until the next morning
THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS🙏
As an Indians fan. I said this after watching this heartbreak of a game. "I just watched history." That game was Iconic. Two franchises desperate for a title. One team over 100 years since last title. Other team was 68 years since last title. And it was the perfect game to sum up a series that will go down as the best series of all time. I always say to myself. That damn homerun we gave up to the 84 year old catcher was the difference between winning and losing.
Seeing #2 made me think you were crazy for not putting it at 1 but re-watching this game.... holy shit. You made the right call dude.
Game 7 of the 2016 World Series is definitely the best. The cubs finally broke there curse after 108 years
When the 10th inning was delayed, I went to sleep. When I woke up, cubs won the World Series. I was so happy that day and I always get the words, “Cubs win the World Series” stuck in my head because I remembered what happened that day in 2016.
ToothlessFan2010 that's what I did
I had to call in sick the next day, been a cubs fan as long as I can remember. Without the weather delay I think I may have literally had a heart-attack haha from stress. I woke up just dizzy and feeling unwell. Worth it.
I was a senior in high school during this game and I remember me and probably a dozen of my friends packed into a basement watching it on the T.V... We're from Chicago so when they won, all hell broke loose. None of us went to school the next day we were all too happy and too tired! Haha. The parade was absolutely nuts though Chicago was packed with people, you couldn't even walk around without bumping into people! One of the greatest moments of my life when they won.
Love this series! Thank you! Hat's off and salutes to EXE Edits 👏👏👏👍
Jason heyward giving them a speech at the rain delay was fantast
Cubs fan my entire life and I was so anxious during this game I thought I was going to have a panic attack. It’s definitely the best baseball game I’ve ever watched. Incredible drama.
I’m a cardinals fan but when this happened I tipped my cap to the cubs
I was deployed during this game. Staying up after a 14 hr day to watch it was exactly what i needed. Finally my cubbies won
Thank you for your service, congratulations on your cubs winning it all . From a red Sox fan
This is a good pick for #1. Personally I would put the 2004 ALCS game 4 in at #1 with the 2001 game 7 a close second.
Jake Sullivan of course you would lol
I'll remember this game for the rest of my life and i'm not even a fan of either team. Incredible game. Awesome series man keep it up 👍
Who’s here after the Field of Dreams game
This game got competition now with that Yankees twins game the other night. That game felt like a playoff game
Mets vs Royals definately gotta be 1 of the worst series ever. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Well I mean.. Game 1 and Game 5 were watchable games. But yeah I agree with you.
This was my first world series I ever watched and it didn't disappoint.
The greatest game ever was Dodgers and astros game 5 in last years World Series
Swenson7 Re 💯
Coming back to the highlights of this game, and it was such a roller coaster of emotions...and I didn't have a horse in the race at all! Honestly feels cruel that a World Series was played between the two teams with the longest droughts!
I watched Game 7 with my family, which happened to be hours after my grandpa's funeral, so being able to watch it with family down in North Carolina that I hadn't seen for some time was nice. My family always cheered for the NL team, and I typically followed along in that rooting interest. However, I had just started dating my now fiancée, who's from the Cleveland area. So the whole series, I was saying one thing to my family and another to my fiancée regarding what was going on 😂
I'll never forget how many times I conveyed emotions of one kind at some moments to one party then the complete opposite to the other, especially on the Davis home run. Definitely a legendary game, and we'll be hard pressed to ever get such a transcendent game again in our lifetimes
