yea how about a refinishing video, i just bought a 12' American, someone used wood putty to fill some gaps, and i guess just polyurethaned over it. Well, the surface was ruined, where the putty was, it just cracked and spread all over the top. Now i am at the point of sanding smooth, but after this not sure what to do. Do i seal next, then do the lettering, then poly on top? i am not sure. any help appreciated Todd, thanks for video, my new table does have these climatic adjusters underneath.

E Stan Hi Stan, doesn't sound so much as the filler as the top coat. I'm just about ready to use a two part epoxy over my table with quite a bit of filler. Before I start I did a pre run on an old coffee table with the same filler that was needed on the shuffleboard. It worked out beautiful, no lifting of the filler etc. You can letter right over the bare wood, Do not seal the epoxy will take care of that. Everyone mentions Poly, You cant get the good stuff at Home Depot etc. These tables need Bowling lane quality. Have fun.

I did manage to finish my table , looks awsome!! I sprayed and sanded the silicone contamination till it was gone with Bullseye shellac, then about 15 coats of poly. Its around a 1970 American 12 ft. , i put new levelers on, new bolts for the climatic adjusters, painted the legs, turtle waxed the chrome, looks new now.
