Sign ‘stealing’ isn’t illegal if you aren’t using technology. Astros had a whole operation that included videos, trash cans & possibly electronic buzzers
Stealing signs is not technically illegal as long as you don’t use some sort of technology. If the runner on 2nd base can figure out the signs and pass it along to the batter it’s not only aloud it’s encouraged. That’s the reason a lot of pitchers are going to the pitchcom so they don’t have to show signs.
Yep.
Basically if someone is showing you their hands in poker you take advantage of it.
But if you set up a camera behind them……
The thing is dugouts have been stealing signs and there is a rule about no on field players are to receive help from the guys in the dugout. Hence why second base runner is legally allowed to communicate them to the batter
Now one mention of the Braves is madness.
Shoehei wants to win above all. He's the type of guy that'll take less if it means he can win. He'll most likely get the best of both worlds. It'll be some team that can pay him handsomely, but has a realistic shot at making some noise in the postseason.
If you disregard your first sentence, the mariners would love him! 😂😂😂
Shohei and Julio would be crazy though.
The Angels knew that Ohtani would not be back next season so after he injured his elbow and could not pitch they made the horrendous decision to allow him to continue batting. Now that he is facing surgery and can no longer bat they have caused his value to drop dramatically. They have shown how little they value what he brought to the team during his time there. Someone will sign him and place him on IR for the year or so that is required for full recovery but his career has definitely been shortened. The integrity of the “Angels” has shown up again.
The Oakland A’s owner - John Fisher, family also owns The GAP - is trying to tank the team on purpose. The Montreal Expos had the same thing happen to them in the early 2000’s. NFL & NBA have done similar things (NFL Baltimore Colts moved in the middle of the night to Indianapolis.) There’s great (sad) documentaries on this.
As an Oakland fan, it's hard to watch the Vegas takeover of our teams. It's great to see the passionate fans though.
The Yankees brought up some young guys from the farm system and have been playing well. They have won enough games to get out of last place. That honor now goes to the Boston Red Sox, at least for now.
Ohtani isn't going to leave the West Coast because he goes home in the off-season, and it's a longer flight on the east coast.
@TahiriVeila13ABY He goes back to Japan for the off-season, and a flight to Japan is quicker on the west coast than on the east coast or midlands America. Straight from the horses mouth, by the way.
@@picklerpickles2321a couple more hours on a plane isn’t going to make that much of a difference 😂
@@JAB2010 Shohei seems to think it does.
Daz can't wipe the smirk off his face... he is loving it!
Dodgers, Yankees, Giants, Braves and another team that I can't remember right now are the top teams are going to bid for his services. Ohtani has stated that money isn't an issue for him and wants to be on a winning ball club.
So he’ll join the Rockies? Winning culture right?
From what I've seen, his locker is cleared out and he's done for the season
mariners brotha
Anything can happen, but the Dodgers are the heavy favorites for Ohtani.
Highly doubt Ohtani leaves the west coast. He'll be a Dodger, top 2-3 organization in baseball, unlimited bankroll, and in the same city as Angels. Could see Giants also being a choice
I agree that he’s a west coast guy. When he signed with the Angels he said that the east Coast atmosphere was not for him. Even though that may have changed by now I’m thinking Mariners or Dodgers since he liked both teams before.
@@debbiewashabaugh9891it’s just so much more convenient for Asians in America to live on the West Coast
@@debbiewashabaugh9891 its because there are so many Japanese viewers, and west coast time zone is the only one that works for them
Love baseball doesn’t exist! One of the best videos is: the 2023 MLB season has made zero sense
It gets into how weird this season started off & how the atmosphere at the ballpark have been!
Looks like a fun trip. I think i would be afraid of the zipline. Id be afraid id fall backwards. My cousin did the zipline upside-down.
Im going to google the ford town rock slide. Glad you were having fun.
Since this video Ohtani got injured is out for the rest of the season and reports have said his locker has been cleaned out in the locker room
Don’t mess with Cleveland haha
Ohtani to the Mariners baby!!!
The Ichiro connection will pay off I hope 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Since this video was made … Astros are now in first place (a game and a half ahead of Texas). 😎⚾️🔥
As a Giants fan, fingers crossed, I hope Shohei goes to them, please please please! LOL
Oakland, aka Las Vegas when the get the stadium built. He’ll stay out west. Not going to the east coast
The A’s fans “reverse protest” night was still less than the MLB average. They might have a few diehard fans, but they haven’t had enough fans show up to games in years. Their average per game is well under 10k. This move is terrible, but has been coming for a long time and the fans and city of Oakland have some blame to bear as well.
I don't know the odds, but I hope Ohtani goes to the Giants. He'd be a great addition to the team!
Anyone other than dodgers yankees or braves would be nice to see
Need some Mets gear on that table
This season was viewed as a down/semi-rebuilding year for the Dodgers cuz everyone knew they didn’t spend in the last offseason in order to afford a contract for Ohtani. Despite that view, Dodgers are currently the 2nd or 3rd best team and have already clinched their division. Given Ohtani wants to go to a contender, and that even with his injury making him likely having to miss all of next year, Dodgers are the favorites to land him. But we’ll see.
Go Ramirez 🎉
the Atlanta Braves should get otani they have the best record in major league baseball
theres entire videos on stealing homeplate.
And I don't get it with Ohtani---lifetime .274 hitter over 6 seasons with this being the first year he will end up just over .300--how is that great? Oh, he's a pitcher? Lots of players could be good pitchers and hitters they just don't do both. Can this guy actually play the field?--not talking about playing defense as a pitcher, but as a real fielder at third, second, SS, or outfield?
I think he’ll go to LA dodgers
OHTANI TO LA DODGERS!
Ohtani to the desert
Ohtani isn't leaving the west coast so prolly going to dodgers
Ohtani is gonna be a dodger imo
Ohtani probably Dodgers.
Ohtani to the Dodgers. It makes sense with all the Japanese players that have gone through there and the Dodgers have been contenders for a while. The Yankees wouldn't make much sense if Ohtani wants to win a World Series.
Ohtani had beef with the Dodgers so idk if he'll stay in LA
F baseball. I watch it when they get salary caps like NFL and NHL.
