I’m so glad that you decided to rescue bully breeds when most people shun them. The breed definitely needs to have advocates to get people to understand them instead of falling into the misconception that’s out there about them. 👏👏👏

Seriously, it is just disgusting just how much hate there is for the breed and how far some people are willing to go to demonize them.
I remember a recent instance in my country where someone had run into this real prick and people immediately generalized that guy as "your average pitbull owner" despite the guy not even having a dog or a pitbull being in any way involved in the story. It is like, anything bad happens and they blame the dog even if there is none present.
Bad dogs are the result of bad owners not treating them right. All dogs respond to love and affection!! 👍😁❤️

When my now husband first moved in together my brother had rescued a pitbull then got a job working out of town and needed a place for him. My husband said no he'd never get a pitty. I won and 20yrs later were on our 3rd bully breed puppers ànd the second one he surprised me with. If you ask him now he'd tell you that he wouldn't have a dog without a jug head! They are the best all around dog. They're gentle with kids, snuggle for laid back times or if you're sick, will play and get excited as long as you can, up for any adventure, and many many more great qualities. You do need to be calm and assertive at times because they can be hard headed and tenacious. But with consistency when training, proper socialization, lots of praise and love there is seriously no better obedient puppers out there..
I have a 13-year-old pittie. Got her when she was about 6. I've enjoyed my time with her. She is very well behaved in the house -- but she's also got an incredible stubborn and independent streak -- which really I kind of admire! But she has defended me fearlessly over the years and she lay beside me for weeks when I was sick during Covid. She pretty much never left my side.

We had Boscoe, a pitbull for 17 yrs. He died from CANCER. BUT WE STILL HAVE HIM.
@@zammmerjammer WHY would you even click on a video about a pitbull rescue?! Do you know who kills more people than pitbulls? PEOPLE. I know 3 Springer Spaniels that had to be put down for biting. Additionally I personally had 2 Springers, both attacked multiple people, but were great with us and our kids. I now have 2 friends that are on their 2nd pitbulls. I have other friends with pitbulls as well. Zero problems. I was attacked by 2 Akitas as a small child. They were totally mauling me, would've killed me if my aunt hadn't woken up to my screams.
@@zammmerjammer let’s talk about the millions a pitbulls in this country that have never bitten anyone and never will. Ignorance like yours is from hearing all of the bad stories about them, but not all of the good ones which far outweigh the bad.
You are not the expert… The animal rescue groups, individuals who rescue animals, dog trainers, veterinarians, etc.… Those people are the experts. We all know there is absolutely no reason to dislike the whole breed because of a few bad ones… I can’t even say they’re bad, because the truth is a lot of times, the wrong people have them… The majority of people who want and breed pit bulls are the exact ones who should not have them… Then there are the rest of us who are trying to clean up their mess by helping them.
Rip is the happiest boi! Handsome too. Most creatures, us included, respond to love and compassion. You did the right thing, kind lady. 💓

Thank goodness for Rip -- and for you! -- that Danny agreed to go to the shelter. Rip is such a good-looking dog, so well-behaved, and incredibly lucky to have a forever home with two people determined to give him the most joyful life possible. Finding his brother was the icing on the cake. ♥
When I was young, I found a lost pitbull (a full-grown female) and my family ended up keeping her. We had many dogs over the years and she was definitely one of the best dogs we had...She was great with kids and other dogs too. They have a bad reputation, but it's usually because their owners don't raise properly (and likely even encourage aggression) since they're not naturally vicious. Plz be open to adopting and fostering these great dogs and give them a chance.

Where’s this pitbull? All I see is earth angel ❤️. Funny what you said about “every weekend we try and take him on an adventure”. That’s where he’s saving you, by making you be more active and create more memories not just as a couple but as a family. My rescue pit changed me life and brought my love of 7 years and I closer then ever.

They are related, they are brothers… This family did not adopt them both but they found out who has their dog’s brother and they have play dates sometimes
I love him!! I’m so glad he found his forever home with people who understand his goofy nature and play into it. The gorilla suit scaring him cracked me up; plus him missing his snack at the end! My bully, Bear, can snatch things out of the air like there’s no tomorrow. Never misses a snack thrown at him. Thanks for rescuing him!

@@hildebrand142 he already weighs 125 lbs! That’s what he weighed 4 years ago when I adopted him, and he’s maintained that weight the entire time. I can tell you he eats really well, but we play a lot in the backyard. I’m 64, and he keeps me active; he really likes it when I chase him around the yard! He does not play fetch well, it’s always chase him! Fun for him, not so much for me. 🤣

I did pitbull rescue for several years... My man and I met, and a week later I took in a bully mix as an emergency foster. My man was NOT a bully person. He is the one who fell in love, and here we are over 5 years later. Lol

We had an Am Staff. Best dog ever! She was so gentle that tiny kittens slept on top of her. Our 8 pound terrier terrorist often acted aggressive toward her, but she just took it patiently. Goofy, fun, great at catching food, smart and non-aggressive. Like I said, she was the best dog ever!

Never knew much about bully breeds. Until my sisters and brother-in-law both adopted one. Some of the best dogs I have ever known they simply love people and especially children. My daughter loved visiting both Daphne and Mojo.
