Nice poles!! Like your two color trick on the flat brush for them. I can relate to using the “belly”. Me too!! Ha! Thank you Edo. I really enjoyed the demo.
Lovely surprise to see a video from my favourite artist! I will watch tonight. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Edo and wish you a happy, healthy and loving new year for 2025. Best wishes Steve 🙏🏻
Very, very nice, dear Edo. The best is mix of the greens of the bushes in front of the right side of the houses. I love it. Thank you and have a nice and healthy 2025. Ingo from Lübeck
Thank you very much Edo. This was a lovely painting and you explained every step so well. It was easy to follow and paint along. You are a god teacher.
What a wonderful video, Edo! Thanks so much for your casual teaching methods. I always learn a lot from watching your videos. Happy New Year to you and your family.
This was a nice surprise! First I correct you. You are a brilliant artist! I am a hobby painter. We are miles apart! It is a beautiful painting! I just got my heavy B-ford. What a great paper! Forgiving and easy to lift from. And I like how your paintings are deep in colour! Thank you again!
Thank you very much Seija. What I mean, I don't have to sell paintings for a living, I can stop painting tomorrow, and take up fishing. It is why I seldom do commissions. the change is to big I don't like the subject, and it is beginning to feel like work. Nothing wrong with that, always better than a nine to five job. And in my case night and evening shifts. The nice thing on this painting is, that so many (teachers) tell you not to paint on Bockingford, because it is cellulose paper. I always say, when it was good enough for Wesson, it is certainly good enough for me.
@@josephineherrera8508 @josephineherrera8508 The best painters in the world painted on Bockingford. Edward Wesson, Rowland Hilder, James Fletcher Watson and so on. Bockingford needs a other approach. You need other skills. On Arches is it easy, even beginners can paint on that.
@ thank you. I am just learning how to paint on hot press, which also requires a different approach than cold press. Do you have videos on how to paint on cellulose? I’d like to learn it. Thank you for your reply.
@josephineherrera8508 A lot of my demos are on Bockingford. And also on my website. Cellulose paper is not different than other paper. You need to paint different on it. But you can learn that easily.
So nice to watch you painting! I really like the way you paint. Edo would you do a forest for us one day? Please and Thank you ❤ I also want to say what a beautiful job you did as always!

haha, we are alike! Chinese flower painters load their brushes with many colours. it is truly amazing.

@@EdoHannema-Watercolour-ArtI was going to ask the question, why use Bockingford? I am afraid of painting in cellulose. Paint stays at the surface.
