I have one of these and its alright. I find the Tiguan is a bit boring but does everything well, and looks more luxurious and modern than most of the competitor vehicles.
RAV4 all day. This Tiguan is built in Mexico. Build quality is questionable. You’ll be taking a huge risk with reliability. However, the RAV4 has a more boring and bland drive.
If your main concern is reliability than the RAV4. Its head over heels more reliable than a German car. Just keep in mind that it too is due for a refresh for 2025. I'm looking at both, but I prefer the more taught ride of a German car. But my biggest turn off with Toyota is their infernal CVT.
That was very objective review. I don't think VW still contract with Fender for its sound systems anymore. At least all the ones that I've seen reviewed contract with Harmon Kardon. But they've changed vendors a lot over the years. What I like most about the Tiguan is that it still offers a spare tire. The removal of which is a trend auto manufactures really need to avoid. A by-product of poor (esp. EV) design. Like rear windows that don't go all the way down. Anyway, why does VW put the front view camera on the bumper? Not only is it at the apex, but it protrudes out. Before it was embedded in the logo. Locating it on the bumper just seems like a precarious place to put it to me. Especially when you parallel park. Why did they have to move it? @1:40 As mentioned, the updated Tiguan will offer a hybrid and a PHEV. PS. I find it amusing anytime I see people wear big Michelin man jacket inside the car.
Nice review, Thank You! Currently considering buying one of these up here in the great white north, but the new Series 3 is already out in Europe. And very nice it looks too! So this series 2 will soon be out of production. Personally I'm a bit worried about it feeling a bit gutless having just a 2L Turbo power plant. Have only test driven one around town where you don't really get a real feel for it. Yes lots of tech, power everything, driver assists etc etc. Up here in Canada the top of range Highline R costs around C$47000 plus various fees, PDI etc of approx. $1000 (all plus 12% Tax). For an overall total of C$53,000 or thereabouts. A lot of $$$ for a car that will soon be out of production.
This is a car designed in 2018, but its R line package still looks very handsome today. I just don't understand why Volkswagen doesn't offer the Tiguan R in the North American market. The 184 horsepower +8at wastes such a handsome and sporty appearance. At least equip the R line package with a GTI engine and DSG, so that it can easily beat the CX5 Turbo and become the most handsome and fastest SUV in the same price range.
Auto headlights but not auto high beams as standard 0:40 … I low key wish a couple tiny things were made standard for my 24 SE R-Line Black down from the SEL. Stuff like the dynamic dash maybe even the heated steering and auto high beams would’ve been nice for the last year of this platform. Nice video!
Maybe? We don't yet know what it will look like and if the updates will be meaningful. It won't be the same as the updated one currently on sale in Europe.
Got a rental for road trip from Oakland to LA, averaged 25MPG for highway, 18MPG for city. I ended up driving Telsa in LA to save gas money. Good technology package, so much room when 2nd and 3rd rolls were down and they were very flat. Using ACC to start from complete stop in traffic jam was not a good idea, very uncomfortable. Car will accelerate to 20MPG in a few seconds and you had to put your foot on the break right away or you will hit the car in front of you. Using ACC on highway was just fine.
I drive the base model and it does NOT come with wireless charging, auto high beams, or power liftgate as standard. I don't know where he got this review from, but most features are wrong.
I will never buy vw now days. They are totally trash quality. U will be lucky if this car make it to 60k miles. I live in Sweden here vw use to be 4 in 10 cars before. But now very few people buy vw any more. Opposite has happened to bmw they use to be bad quality but now they are very good in quality

@@LordStaind The build quality of German cars is the best in the world. That's why people choose. them

The SEL only comes with R line seats which are narrower than the regular seats and I don't fit comfortably which sucks for me.
I live the simplicity YVW keeps. I ride with friends and their consoles are way too busy.
2024 Tiguan getting consistent 33 plus mpg on highway.
You didn’t mention the reliability and the plastic oil pan
Can you make one video on Atlas Cross Sport 2024?
"if you need the third row, just go up to the Atlas..." Yes, let me just drop an extra 15 grand for a third row of seats...
Hello, my Tiguan Allspace has 7 seats. My question is how can I remove the seats in the trunk, thank you.

It is not the 2024 I think , I just came from the dealer and they showed me another one
That is the base model
Which country do you live in? This is the one in the USA

I like this review a lot.
Does it have a Front cam?
yes, you can see when he talks about interior in 2´13¨ , behind the mirror.

Brake hold in traffic would be also appreciated
I have a 24 sel r line and yes it looks exactly like that EXACTLY but I hate it because it’s gutless. No reason to not be at least as much as a GTI
The good news is that the new ones coming in summer
Totally!

its a whole new model with a big chin that looks like the id4 @@krane15

I’ve definitely got 40mpg in the 2024 Tiguan
Anything but RAV4🥶
Lol, our 2010 Rav4 4wd v6, gets 28mpg on freeway.

Ya hes reviewing the highline r line which has all those features
2024 has heated rear seats in Canada
Wireless charger isn't standard, not in the S class.
it became standard mid 2024. Earlier it was not standard.
Mazda Cx5 or Tiguan?
Tiguan
If you need much space - Tiguan, if you don't just try to drive both and then decide
Please stop putting fake exhaust on your cars Volks & Audi.... 🙏
Those engines fail around 100k. The timing chains stretch and jump causing major engine damage.
not the best review i have seen missed a lot wow you dont have really anything good to say
