Peter Boyle played this part so convincingly, that it led many to believe he was a real jerk! He was the exact opposite in real life! A very sweet and caring man. RIP, Peter!
Yeah he s typical 50 dad he exept boys to be though as nails and Marie Is typical 50 mom carring and little bit crazy but thinks she doing the right thing all for her family.
Frank: I am the father you are the son, the son must serve the father. Robert: oh yeah? you want to be served? Alright I’ll serve ya but first I’m gonna cook ya!!! ( turns up the dial)
Not sure if it's in here or not, but my favourite Frank line Frank: Can't you look the other way!? Robert: There's black and white on your car! Frank: I HIT A PENGUIN BAHAHAHAAHHAHA
When I was younger I thought Frank was just awful. The older I get and the more time here on earth the more I understand Frank lol. One of the best sitcoms out there second to Frasier.
The last clip is so relatable. I’m 34 and my dad is 63. I can bench press 410 but to this day I fear him lol. If he asserts himself like that, it’s the same reaction “yessir, I’m sorry” lol
Peter Boyle no doubt was a great actor, but the character he had to play on this show was VERY hard to take. I didn't find Frank endearing or comfortable at all.

From Frankenstein to Frank Barone, the man certainly knew how to play the monster
@Jack Kircher I Heard That Peter Boyle Was a Nice Guy in Real Life!
God bless him. I miss him, and he’ll be in my heart.❤
Yup, he was more democrat in real life but in the show, he was republican.
You should've seen him as the title character in Joe (1970).
i like that even as old adults , theyr son still fear respect and in their own way love their dad.
Frank was a classic 1950’s type of Dad
Yeah he s typical 50 dad he exept boys to be though as nails and Marie Is typical 50 mom carring and little bit crazy but thinks she doing the right thing all for her family.
Marie: Even as a baby, you were always a looker.
Frank: I THOUGHT HE WAS MORE OF A LOOK-AT-THAT!
Frank was my favourite character when the show was on
One step at Ray and Robert to shut up and it works. LOL!
Frank: I am the father you are the son, the son must serve the father.
Robert: oh yeah? you want to be served? Alright I’ll serve ya but first I’m gonna cook ya!!!
( turns up the dial)

Frank: I THOUGHT HE WAS MORE OF A LOOK-AT-THAT!

One of the greatest characters in sitcom history, played by a wonderful actor
One of the best comedy actors i've watched. All 9 seasons of ELR jokes still hit each time you rewatch
Not sure if it's in here or not, but my favourite Frank line
Frank: Can't you look the other way!?
Robert: There's black and white on your car!
Frank: I HIT A PENGUIN

"The Step". I use that on my dog!
One of the best and last great sitcoms.
He knew the secret
In this great cast, Frank is my favorite.
Frank is the best
Know that guy who can control his kid even when their older 4:32
I stumbled on this show. wasn't a fan at first. Now I miss this show.
Frank and ray made the show
which episode is the first clip?
If you mean the hot tub scene I believe it's The Apartment. Season 3 Episode 11.
I bought a season but I haven't been able to get my season
I'm getting clips and bloopers.
Frak and Marie - two characters I love to watch but would not want to know in real life!
Robert signed with a modeling agenct.

I have always thought he were more of look-at-that.
