I'm new to mgk, and I honestly wasnt a huge fan of his discography but I've watched so many of his videos recently because I enjoy his personality - and a lot of the his songs are now growing on me (I fell in love with el diablo immediately tho) and when I actually heard the lyrics of Lonely I just felt the emotion especially in the chorus. Maybe lyrically it doesn't hit as hard at first but I feel like melodically, he captured that feeling of longing for someone who isn't here anymore really well...and then those seemingly simple lyrics hit a bit harder.
