  • In part two, we look at wiring two speakers to the decoder. How to get them "in phase" so they produce the clearest sound without damaging the decoder. All random sounds are still playing in the background ,so the sound is a bit busy! These will be shut off once the loco is in service.

Have a good nice year of 2017. It´s always a pleasure to see your videos. I did not test yet the new Tsunami 2 but I have already order one. All my H0 scale trains are American trains, so my preference goes almost for Tsunami. Thank you again for your videos. A big hugh from Portugal. At this time, 7º Celsius... and you with so many hot...!!

Great video on speakers connected to decoders. I know in home audio there is a couple of ways to find a speaker driver is in phase is to use a 9V battery. Connect it to the back of the terminals watching the polarity, if the speaker pushes out or in you know which side is + or -. Out is positive and in is negative. In general when looking at the back of a driver the + is on the right and negative on the left but that is not always 100%. I will have to try the battery on the small speakers to see if the movement is enough to see.

Gregg what's up!! This is a very informative vlog on the topic of electrics and sound. After looking at this video I will have to rewire my 2 UP GEVO's (see recent video). Currently they are 8 ohm speakers wired in parallel (a dope move) on my part. The guys in my comments were very helpful to point this out for me. But your video refreshed my understanding of how to properly wire up the speakers correctly. Thanks again buddy!
