I cant believe it slept through all that. Amazing 😂 Jokes aside it is amazing you are giving tribute to such a beautiful animal and you did it wonderfully.
It might appear that way but it’s really not. Keep researching about it and gain more knowledge , you will have a clear idea if this is something you want to pursue or not in the future. Good luck.
I hope you didn't kill that, but were blessed it's body by the universe when it died. What a beautiful bird, sad we don't see as many now. Your art/work is beautiful. Thank you for teaching.

Before paying for membership, once I do, am I able to access the full video? Does it include detailed instructions on skinning, drying, stuffing, and mounting? Thanks!
Hi there… yes .. basically all the videos are hours and hours long. .. real speed with on time explanation. There are some skinning videos but not for every birds ( UA-cam flags me if I post too much of that since it’s consisted gory 🤦🏻♂️) …however one skinning video of let’s say a game bird will be the same for the rest of them .. the mounting process can differ which I have explained and shown them all .. there are many hours of learning in there. Usually three tutorial videos a week are being published for the members. And they are all in series.
Great video and very helpful! However I need some information since it’s going to be my first time making taxidermy. There’s this very pretty pigeon outside which is a lilac and red. It’s 100% a rock pigeon and I’m in Texas and we are all allowed to grab, kill, or do anything to them, house sparrows and one other type of bird. But I’m wondering if I would do the same from this video and apply it to the bird? I’m aware they have a different size and shape but I’m just not sure. I also only have an exacto for now so if you could tell me what other tools Iwould need! I love pigeons, but I can’t keep one due to my dog lol, anyways taxidermy has been such a fixation I love seeing it!
Well the principle of Taxidermy won’t change , however every species will have its own challenges, uniqueness and maybe slightly different process. I suggest you watch more of my videos .. that shows you how to skin, flesh, carve body and mounting .. then note down what tools I’m using and get yourself something similar that can do the job. There are hundreds of videos on my channel that you can watch and learn more.
Thanks for watching. The skin after being totally cleaned and washed , it won’t rot, it will dry out and feathers will stay where they are without falling out. We can use borax to make it bug proof.
I had this on my watch later playlist bc I literally found a fresh dead hawk I just really wanted to take advantage of this Anyway I talked to my parents bc it's a big step forward from what I have tried so far (I usually only pin insects/have tried some wet specimens ) And it goes without saying, I got shamed and told that there's something wrong with me They are forcing me to bury it (it was what I had intended if the taxidermy turned out too much to handle anyway so I guess not that big of a loss) but it still hurt a lot Very cool video, it's a shame I only get to see it in theory, I mostly came to this comment section to reassure myself that there's nothing wrong with apprticipating nature in this way.....
Your parents might needed some more insight and more knowledge of what taxidermy entails. Sounds like when you grow a bit more dependant you will give it a good shot. 🤞👍
I just found a female cardinal, i put her body in my freezer but I’m stuck on what all i need to start the process, this would be my very first taxidermy. And another problem is im only 16 so money is an Issue.

Are your parents aware that there is a dead bird in the freezer?
@@LassetUnsSpielen yes lol, I told my mom immediately. They quite used to my antics
Where and what type of foam do you use to carve body
Made by DOW. They come in giant blocks and need to be special ordered from them.
What products do you use
Many different products. Depends on the job.
how about the smell sir?
No smell.
Is that hurting just asking
Hurting???
It's a dead animal how would it hurt 😂
How to make the eyes..?
Purchased artificial eyes.
Would you be interested in doing my bird?
What bird ? Where are you located ?
@@ArtofTaxidermy Starling.. Indiana an hour from Chicago.
@@ArtofTaxidermy I would travel to you if possible?
Don't you need to wear gloves ?
You can but you don’t have to. Gloves take the edge of accuracy a bit. On bigger animals it will be much better.
Please do not progress to disecting humans. All dark jokes aside. This is actually quite impressive
Ok I won’t 😁😄
