castiels journey was honestly one of the best in television history. He was the only damn angel that did what god asked, to love humanity above all else. No matter what happened his love and belief in humanity was never changed. He actually appreciates the humans and think their beautiful creatures. Hes in love with humanity.

Cas was right when he told her that he was nothing like her; because Anna was an angel who longed to feel, while Cas is an angel who can't help but feel.
Then there is Jimmy, I mean, I feel so sorry for him, he was an incredible father, a loving husband, he had a life and lost everything; That's why my heart sinks every time I see Claire telling Cas that she prayed every night to bring her father safely home. That breaks my heart, as I'm sure, Cas's heart broke every night when he heard her
edit: I actually made a mistake in saying that angels don't feel, angels can feel, all of them, they have shown throughout the series (envy, hate, admiration, ambition and even love), what they don't have is free will. Cas has it

i dont know why but these type of videos with the voice overs and the music incorperating everything from the character and their love its just...it hurts. and it makes me happy at the same time.
with this vid, indeed Castiel is one beautifully, extremely, importantly written character on the show, knowing he has his own character story and arc that's not as any character.. perhaps he's a. supporting character but a VERY STRONG supporting character.. and most in the fandom appreciated and adored him.. i love this angel..

Wow. I just rewatched season 10 and having Sam blame him for his ‘elbow’ the one time Cas didn’t blame himself and Sam blamed him. He’s dying without grace and his ‘family’ doesn’t care, he’s alone, but not even alone in trying to save himself. Oh no he’s too busy trying to save Dean, and as much as they say that he’s family, they definitely don’t prove it when it’s needed. Not when he human, not when he is dying, not when he faced Metatron, no they only help him when it also involves the Winchesters or humans.

Castiel is such an complex and well written character. You can really understand his struggle and feel his pain, which is something amazing when it comes to fictional characters. I just started watching supernatural again after 3 years away from the show, and I had almost forgot how much I love Cas :')
