Love the fact that is not only egg free , but also butter free. It’s my kind of cake, I’ll be making it soon, but I’ll substitute the milk used in the ganache with non dairy alternative, maybe hot coffee . And I’d use only dark chocolate and do without the milk chocolate, I’m sure it’s going to come out great. Thanks

How thanks, I did check the cocoa glaze, since it is dairy free, definitely I’m going to be trying it . I’m not vegan , nor do I have allergies , weird as it may seem, but simply , I just can’t stand the taste or the smell of cream, milk and butter, and that’s why I’m always looking for alternatives.

So for 1+1/3 cup of hot water, I used almost 1-2 tbsp of instant coffee.
This is practically the healthiest chocolate cake I've ever made tho I just covered it with chocolate instead of chocolate ganache to lower the calories a bit more yet it turned out amazing 🧡 Thank you for the recipe

Hi and welcome to my channel! It's a pretty unique chocolate cake because it's low in sugar and pretty light (no butter, no eggs), with a fudgy and humid texture. If you love sweet cakes I suggest to increase sugar amount to 180-200 g and I suggest to not skip the chocolate ganache on top, it gives a great boost to this cake! Let me know ;) much love

Hi there. I made this cake today and it turned out perfect. The warm water makes it very soft and moist. I also made the ganache as you mentioned but don’t think I heated the cream enough so then had to microwave it with the chocolate for 10-15 seconds. That in turn made it more diluted than thick so I simply poured it over the cake and put it in the fridge to cool. Turned out to be a stroke of brilliant coincidence. Not only did the ganache set perfectly, the texture couldn’t be better. Goes perfectly with the cake’s moistness. Thanks a lot

How Tasty thanks for your reply. I have put up a pic on insta and tagged you. I wanted to point out a potential error in your conversion of cups to grams. Usually one cup = 240-250 ml or gram. Based on this conversion your measure of 280 g is 1 1/3 cup and not 2 1/3 cup as you mention here. Please check this and fix if needed. I made this cake using 1 1/3 cup

Made this cake. The frosting was great. The cake was light but dry, probably needs something like sour cream, but I guess the point is to make it as easy as possible with readily available ingredients.

I thought it was goimg to be really dry with no butter but it actually wasnt, and it was spongy. But I did replace veg oil and used coconut oil, and also added a teaspoon of baking powder.. all in all the kids loved it

This recipe is really nice but I tried this and plz note that there is an excessive amount of coco powder and less sugar as compared.....please lessen up the coco powder and increase the ratio of sugar otherwise it will turn out bitter just as mine did. Thank you for the nice recipe though💕

Hello Angel! Yes, you can use any type of vinegar. Vinegar reacts with baking soda and starts the chemical reaction needed to produce carbon dioxide and gives rising to the cake while baking: that's why the cake cracks a bit on the surface, but will be very moist! Let me know when you try it!

Hi Emma! Chocolate cakes are delicious with hot water instead of milk, it makes the cakes so moist and fudgy! Since this is a cake with low sugar, you can increase sugar amount and use 180-200 grams of sugar if you prefer a more sweet cake. Let me know if you try it! Hugs
