Eye the second combo with DF2 always drops on me right after CD1 what should I do ? Is there some kind of a dash in between?

It’s about time! Nobody posted much of anything on yoshi since launch but all the other characters were getting love
Thats because yoshi is not basic as the others. Its a very complicated character that needs alot of digging. Not anyone can just simply pick it and make stuff happen. As per usual we will see normal yoshi cycle of tekken. Bunch of noobs pick character, realize after a while its hard and they keep losing and they either give up on the game or character. Its those loyal yoshi enthusiasts that always stick around and some new players here and there..
That's part of Yoshimitsu's charm for me tbh
I think all the manji mains were in streams and in their own manji circles. Someone actually did post some bnb flavored things they found day 0 though.
@@Stockfish1511 been playing tekken for 3 days and can already do a lot of these, on default controller as well. Of course i chose yoshi to main cuz he looks fun

The ff4 combos were particularly crazy. After watching this, Im going to have to alter most of my combo routes to these ones, if I want to get an extra 20-30% damage. Great stuff.

As a new tekken player, i feel proud of myself that i kinda labbed out the general structure of a yoshi combo on my own. Gotta practice different start ups so thank you for this vid!
I'm quite happy to realize that some of my self-taught combos look a lot like these. But these combos here will help me squeaze out every point of damage I can find... Into the lab, to learn them by heart!
Just remember to use what is most effective. Different characters have different hitboxes.
I've found that some of these combos consistently drop on certain characters unless you're standing slightly in the foreground or background.
Thanks for helping us (Yoshi players) on becoming better! You are One of the Best Yoshis out there! Love the variety that Yoshi has under his sleeves! That is what made me gravitate towards choosing him as my main! I just Gotto Get Better! That meens more time in the lab and polishing learnt moves against others. Have fun playing TEKKEN 8! 🤜🤛

This man is a genius. I’ve learned about half of what he displayed and found a combo of my own that does 101 without rage art.
Just as an info:
1, 2, CH1 is also a launcher now, easy pickup with d+2 (LP, RP, LP(c), 2RPRP)
CH1+2+3 is also a launcher (+18), pickup with f, F+4 (AP+LK(c), 66RK)
second one is a bit tight but doable.

Isn't the route for CH 1+2+3 followed by cd1?
@@TikTok6oclock Idk, if you can pull it off I suppose. I think cd+1 is like 20 frames startup; 17 + f,n,d (and if d/f is on same frame as your 1). And CH 1+2+3 is +18 but may be more in some cases so maybe then you can use CD+1.

Yoshi can buffer CD inputs in block stun.
So the input frames don't need to be counted.

Loved Yoshi since T3 when I was a kid, getting into T8 properly so im glad for videos like this. It will take time but I am not going to give up on him. Just accept the challenge

It's a little sad that 3,1 isnt used more in his optimals because it looks really cool. But great stuff, EM! Much appreciated!
The damage is sometimes more/and often 1-2 difference if you go the 3,1 route, but you get less carry every time
For anyone having trouble with the FF+4 combo, you have to SSR before the dash up b+1, and you have to delay the 1 after the dash up d+2,2.

some that I found and that I don't think I've seen here:
FF4,n,4,d222,f3+4,2 66dmg superbeginner
FF4,n,4,d22b,df121,dash,1+4,ff2,2 74dmg
NSS,1+4,SS1,d2,2b,d2,2,2,1+4,ff2,2 60dmg
(some combos with "1+4 d2,2" as the ending can be done with ff,2,2 for more damage)

how come the first combo doesnt even connect properly. especially the punch before the last EYOOO
Every character has different hit boxes. Also the distance from the opponent at rest plays a key factor.

you can do 4RPLP~Kincho RK~Kincho 4RPLP then 66AP for a guaranteed backturned setup on them waking up backwards. At the wall, unless they wake up crouching from that, backturned LPRK will splat them backwards with no escape, and you can 9RP into 6AP OTG if you get that wallsplat. (No, I will not translate to udfb1234 notation. It's dumb and confusing for fighting game players.)
also note, when they are face up & head towards knockdown state, the 9LP does not guarantee the 66AP OTG hit. they can ground roll out of it as most characters unless you are at the wall 👍 don't get caught whiffing 66AP because it's almost a full second of animation, very easy for a good player to wake up and launch you on reaction.

So, for FC d/f+1, you can go Fc d/f+1 back dash (3~)4,U DGF2 DGF2 DGF2 DGF f+1+2 for the same damage, but easier timings. Might be lesse carry, did not test that property yet.
For f,f+4 I found f,f+4 delayed BT4 d+2,2,b d/f+1,2,1 T! 3,2,1+2 or the other finischer of NSS 1+4 dash d+2,2 for 72 damage. Doesn't look as stylish as the BT 2,d/b+2 route, but well, it seems more efficient.
The generally most damaging route i have found so far is launcher into 3,1 DGF2 DGF2,4,b T! dash NSS 1+4 dash d+2,2>1, and it can be applied to a lot of launchers of Yoshi. Though I don't know if that one is maybe angle dependant.

You have to know how to set them up. But I'll agree that, since all characters have different hitboxes, some of these won't be effective.
Best to use what works, even if it's lower damage

4:45 is really good but for me I found it better to switch out the SSR Flash and onward for
Dash 3,2, 1+2 for more consistency and you still get the life steal and it’s 88 damage instead of 91
Or if you want to make it even easier just do the string without the dash. The first kick will miss but the damage only goes down to 87 instead of 88.
What is SSR? Sidestep right?
Alright time to train, in 1 month I guess I'll create my own combos

You can get a bit more damage off the SSR Flash by doing F,F2*2. But this is harder and side switches.

I found your secret for the spider lily... You press 2 just before going for the "Tobi Ushiwaka", and then it hits all 3 hits! Gotcha :p

Ive been experimenting with bound > NSS flash > HB > kin f2F(heat dash) > ub1+2
I’m glad he avoided it for this. I’m sick of combos that rely on you having heat. I had to make up my own combos which went pretty well but some of these are really good
df2 > flash > d22b > df121 > NSS flash > HB > KINf2F(into heat dash) > ub1+2 [78dmg]
How do you hit the last part of the combo from 0:00?

Can i please ask, did yoshimitsu get some damage nerfs on some attacks, or why are the exact combos lower with damage? for example on the record, when i do dash 3+4, 1+2, 3+4 -F2,1 -3-4 U F1+2 On the video its 83 damage but in game its 65

Hey thank you so much for the amazing combo video! I'm encountering a problem with the D, 2,2,1 ender. No matter how close I get before executing it I can never hit the 1. Is it not possible or am I just bad?
Delay the hits so dont go d 2 2 1, do down 2 wait like half a second, 2 another half second 1 it should hit then
Can you test if something like B1, 1 and then his spinning sword unblockable still can hit Kuma/Panda on the wall if they don't techroll after the 1 jab? And also if they techroll, especially if they techroll right because it can re-wallsplat in T7.
Hello, im curious to know if its possible to do a combo with yoshi through every wall on the mishima dojo stage, i can only get through two walls but im new to yoshi and trying long combos so dont know a lot of techniques ??
