Nier Replicant - Farming Black Pearls

Must be done after the Mermaid main story or possibly before time skip.
I say this because I had a single black pearl when starting this after the time skip and don't know where else it would have come from.... LOL

Fun fact (maybe)- but you probably got that one you had at the post office in the basement...there’s one in the back room, same place you find the letters during the lighthouse quest

There's a point in the story where the boat shows up and it'll vanish if you keep doing the main story.
I believe you can harvest black pearls before and after but not during

Can you do this AFTER the shipwreck? I'm not seeing any drops now that this dumb ship is here. On 2nd playthrough now and I'm worried I won't be able to like, not have this ship here

I was reading an achievement guide from like a decade ago and I knew the new content was gonna change things but I was not expecting the boat
I did all mine right after the boat leaves and before I went to the king vs the wolf arc.

@@frazzleberry I just realized... Yeah. Once you actually do the whole ship piece, the boat is gone lol that's a relief!! Haha

Doesn't help that the drop rate for the Black Pearl is incredibly low. Took me probably an hour just to get the ones I needed :
