Volume needs a blast of some Deoxit d5 and she'll be good as new. In fact all those switches need Deoxit.

@@Thriftronics Do not use cheap contact cleaners, it will soon go back to the old state! Go for Deoxit, even though it is expensive!

Here in Australia we have a few second hand reseller stores who stock some of these. I've actually repaired a few boomboxes in the past couple of years that I bought with faults off eBay etc., and sold them as working units to one outlet for a bit of pocket money. So far no recalls. I do keep some of the ones I buy and fix up. ☺
