Here in Australia we have a few second hand reseller stores who stock some of these. I've actually repaired a few boomboxes in the past couple of years that I bought with faults off eBay etc., and sold them as working units to one outlet for a bit of pocket money. So far no recalls. I do keep some of the ones I buy and fix up. ☺
That thrift store is a boombox goldmine! Nothing like that here.
We have three in my area within 15 km all three get great items
I have also seen boomboxes like that one sold under the Lloyds brand here in the United States…

Volume needs a blast of some Deoxit d5 and she'll be good as new. In fact all those switches need Deoxit.
