Eh. The speakers are 3.5 Watt, plastic platter, stylus is a cheapo $15 affair and requires heavy tracking force - 3 to 5 grams of pressure. If i was a Lloyd's collector, maybe to put it on a shelf somewhere.... if it cost $20.

The dodgy clock readout is usually caused by the I.C (microchip), over time the clock i.c gets hot and does "funnies". Nice little unit but not worth repairing the dodgy clock problem.

Voice of Music is still around and probably has everything you need to put that record player back into working condition. Do a Google search. To lubricate the motor you need special oil for electrical motors. Zoom Spout oil is what I use for my electrical motors. I bought mine at Lowe’s in California. Your record player mechanism needs to be dissembled and all the old sticky grease cleaned off and lubricated. It’s a lot of work but it’s great to see these old record players working properly once again.

Here in the UK the local authorities (councils) are giving people very large fines for doing this as the authorities class this as illegal fly tipping/dumping even if it is directly outside of your property.

Love them old consoles but few people have the space for them that's why people often give them away.

I'm sure you don't need advice from me but FWIW, I'd much rather see the process of unpacking and testing this gear than the process of picking it up

Cool! I have way too many old record players lol. Still have my mom's huge Zenith YT960 (1968) console that we used to dance around to Christmas records when we were small. It's one you won't find in a thrift store, it'd be hard to get it through the door lol. p.s. - i'd have bought it 😆

Like I mentioned before, when it comes to electronics, the closest *Value Village* to me *(Liverpool & Kingston Rd)* cannot hold a candle to what the *Ajax* location always seems to have on it’s shelves. Both in terms of quantity & quality. Love those old school players, as well. And while this one was temperamental at best, it did look fairly clean cosmetically. Meaning that if one was to buy it, at least they would not have to waste a lot of time dealing with getting it to look the part anyway. The continuous search marches on. Happy hunting, my friend. I got one in great condition for 20 Canadian dollars at a thrift store last week with no battery. Realizing I could emulate PS1, NES, GBA and Mega Drive I didn't mind getting a two batteries + charger kit for 26 dollars on amazon. I'm enjoying it!

That’s a psp 3000 not a 1000 the 3000 is worth more then the 1000

$30 for a PSP 3000 model is actually a bargin since I usually see them go for $100+ online I recommend getting a Ostent battery for the PSP since I heard they are good 3rd party batteries (I haven't tried it myself, my seemingly OG PSP battery still works and hold it's charge well)

Thats a very clean PSP, I beleave it is well worth it, in the end you'd probololy spend $50 total and easily upsell it to $150 where I am. mod it and it would be up to $200.

PSP with a case, that's a steal.

I'm a sucker for any of these old radios at thrift stores, but i don't see them often. I live about 45 miles from the Canadian border in Idaho, USA and the thrift stores here are a little.... lacking in old cool stuff

I like the JVC more. My dad had both Fisher and JVC boomboxes in the 80s and I definitely prefered the JVC. Both were good though.

That was a childhood dream boombox for me. I think it had lots of derivatives but they were all the same box
