That's a bit of a stretch. I was an obsessed Bears fan that year. He was a key weapon, but he didn't single-handedly take them to the Super Bowl. I love Hester, but I also don't think enough credit was given to the whole return team that year. They gave him some great blocking.
So glad this was posted. Obviously his return TDs are great to watch but some of his returns that didn’t go all the way were just as exciting. His acceleration, ability to slip tackles and maintain speed while changing directions were just alien.
This is the greatest return man of all time. He didn’t even score on these but you can tell he can take those returns back better than anyone else ever did.
I'd give anything to have kickoff returns back to the way they were. The injuries on kickoffs were not bad enough to Nurf a very exciting part of football
Special team players get no recognition from the NFL. Devin Hester was as impactful as any offensive player cause he's generating so many points that were unaccounted for. There isn't even a best special team player award shit is tragic
Devin is FAST but his true skills was his lateral movements and how fast he got up to his top speed. When he accelerated he blew past people. IF he had deon sanders speed, OMG
Hester single handily made the Bears a Super Bowl contender by always leading his offense to start the drive already in field goal range.

10 minutes of amazing kick returning. Hester was an artist.

For so many years he kept the league in check
Wanna know how special Devin Hester is ?
I read the title of this video and still watched every highlight on the edge of my seat

im glad people realize how insane this actually is, dude was incredible
Love this. He was so electrifying.
Watching Hester I was more shocked if he didn’t at least get 35 40 yards every return, I was sure he was going to score every time he returned it
On some of His returns He look's just like the Kansas Comet.. 🙌😎
He also had a return TD called back against Seattle in the playoffs. The man really was ridiculous
S/O to the whole S.T squad. Those blocks created all those creases he smoked thru 💪🏿
Dave Toub (the special teams coordinator) should have been given a shot to be a head coach decades ago. The man is an elite coach
Shoutout Dave Toub for those lanes.

Insane
1 of the rare athletes that had 4.2 speed but can also juke you out of your shoes. Thats a deadly combination
it's also his 0 to 100 that gets me. Unreal accel
@@ezsportschannel4495Genuinely believe his acceleration was his biggest superpower. That combined with his vision made him a cheat code.
"Hey, which one of you guys has 23?"

For reals...i'm watching and he's passing each 5 yards like every second... it's insane!!!
Rule #1. Don't kick to Hester lol. Dude was a threat to house it anytime he touched it.
Dude be going fed on Minnesota 😂
3:36… Of course Conte would look back at Hester and not block the kicker going at a trajectory towards Hester. Zero football awareness
if devin had a lil bit more speed like deion wow
He will probably be the last of his kind. The NFL hates special teams, they want to turn the game into a 7 on 7 two hand touch league.
That's because of concussions
If anyone is next Hester, you cannot kick it to best in the NFL even if its a good one.
HOF.
Official wtf?
I included a touchdown that got called back
