Home Stone Lithography Part 4 - Closed Eyes, A Print

Closed Eyes is a print made in January 2024 using both stone and foil lithography. I am still relearning how to draw on stone (as well as first-time learning of cola etched stone litho through trial and error) and the results of the initial print gave me a good idea how I might improve the next one. I printed on both sides of the gampi paper and then chine collé style backed it onto BFK. The faint ghost of the printed reverse side through the translucent gampi is really very lovely. I chose the title 'Closed Eyes' from the works by Odilon Redon which inspired this print.
