RAMMSTEIN "Links 2 3 4" English Lyrics HD

  • Опубліковано 21 лип 2017
  • The original video: • Rammstein - Links 2 3 ...
This song was written in response to the many claims that Rammstein are Nazis that badly influenced various school shootings. The song’s chorus shows that the band’s political views are on the left (2 3 4). The song also has a double meaning. The line “Links 2 3 4″³ also means that their hearts beat on the left.
Links zwo, drei, vier (Left 2 (both zwo and zwei mean 2 in German but due to their similar sounds zwo is used here) 3 4)is also a German army chant.

It's hilarious how a bunch of neo-nazis genuinely believe Rammstein is on their side purely because they're ignorant and can't speak a lick of German.

Rammstein is essentially apolitical sometimes on the left other times on the right. The lyrics list many ways in which the human hear is described including that your heart, "should be in the right place." Humorous since the heart is actually physically beneath the left breast. Sometimes a lyric is just a lyric. That's the case with all of Rammstein's apolitical lyrics.

    Left 234
    CAN HEARTS BE BROKEN?
    CAN HEARTS TALK?
    cAN HEARTS BE TORTURED?
    CAN HEARTS BE STOLEN?
THEY WANT MY HEART TO BE IN THE RIGHT PLACE,
BUT WHEN I LOOK DOWN-IT'S BEATING TO THE LEFT!
    CAN HEARTS SING?
    CAN HEARTS BREAK?
    cAN HEARTS BE PURE?
CAN A HEART BE MADE OF STONE?
THEY WANT MY HEART TO BE IN THE RIGHT PLACE,
BUT WHEN I LOOK DOWN, IT'S BEATING TO THE LEFT 234!
    CAN YOU QUESTION HEARTS?
CAN YOU CARRY A CHILD UNDER IT?
    CAN YOU GIVE YOUR HEART?
CAN YOU THINK WITH YOUR HEART?
    THEY WANT MY HEART IN THE RIGHT PLACE;
    BUT WHEN I LOOK DOWN,
IT'S BEATING IN MY LEFT BREAST.
    THE JEALOUS WERE WRONG-
    LEFT 234!

"Rammstein" have no one political view, some of the members have hinted towards their leanings and between them there are some "left" and some "right" and growing up in East Germany seems to have left some marks on some of them.

    • @ShermanistDruid
      @ShermanistDruid 3 роки тому +3

@SlickWil True, afaik some of the members grew up there and some "liked" it while others didn't, without going into the every day life in East Germany I hope it's the rose tinted glasses/their schooling talking and not the acceptance of disappearing those that speak ill of the state, one can like an idea but not its execution.

Hmm, might be me being favourable towards people who play down the crimes commited in these countries as they weren't victims of it, due being too young, party privileges or just believing the propaganda.
There's a reason people fled to the west, so while accepting people that enjoyed their time living in such a society I don't understand people now when we have the facts endorse the spread of such ideologies.
And on the subject of shitty electricity & water/sewage mains, I live in small town in sweden and our are just as old and bad, its imo the government spending on the flashy virtuesignalling stuff and not what the base requirements for daily life.

@@ShermanistDruid Whilst you are correct in many cases, the DDR were horrendous. But many people actually enjoyed socialism. They felt it brought people together. People were more cooperative with one another, they hated how authoritarian the DDR were. Its the same under the USSR. Russian people are still in love with the idea of socialism/communism. Especially with how capitalism has affected the people of Russia. When it comes down to the Eastern countries that fell under the Iron curtain. It wasn't left wing economics that oppressed them. It was more the fact the totalitarian and authoritarian practices these governments had. And how they really didn't practice what they preached when it came to luxury goods.

ran across this video while searching around for songs I listened to while on various deployments...in regards to rammstein accusations of being nazi--based on german law--wouldn't they have been shut down hard for anything pro-nazi with a quickness? As I understand it--there are several antinazi laws with severe/harsh penalties

    • @KendrixTermina

these laws ware less "ooh censorship" and more "Don't say Voldemort, tyranny is horrible and people are still traumatized"

Zwo Drei Vier = the military version of counting up as Zwei and Drei have a chance to be misunderstood in the static of radio transmissions. So Zwo was used to differentiate it phonetically from the Drei. Zwei/Zwo = two, Drei = three, Vier = four.
The chant "Links Zwo Drei Vier" is derived from a marching song of the German/Prussian armies. Indicating with which foot the column of marching soldiers should begin marching, followed by the beat of the steps. Giving the number of steps in time to the beat.
Increasing the speed of thebeat was what gave rise to the term "double time" in English phraseology of army jargon.
"Double time" meant that the number of steps in a marching song was increased to double the number, in essence meaning almost a run or at least a jog.
Over time this original meaning was lost. What remained was that the soldiers were ordered to run for their lives, or the seargent would have their hides at the end of a run.
Zwo is very similar to the English "Two". It's pronounced "ts-v-oh".
Drei is pronounced very similar to the English "Dry" but with a sharper R. Either clicked and trilled against the front teeth, as done here by Till Lindemann the singer. Or rolled strongly in the back of the throat instead of at the back of the palate.
Vier is pronounced almost exactly like "fear" in English.
There you go, have fun chanting it on your next Rammstein concert... 🤘🤘

@@fieldy409 Prince Albert was born in the German duchy of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, a German duchy. So he was Albert of the House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. He married Queen Victoria, who herself was of House of Hanover (also a German house incidentally). When Queen Victoria died, Albert's son with her, Edward VII, assumed power. So the ruling house changed from Hanover to Saxe-Coburg-Gotha because that was the father's house. But during WW1 the Germans dropped a few bombs on London and so amid rising anti-German sentiment, the royal family rebranded their house as Windsor to sound more English.
England was ruled by German nobility because the Anglo-Saxons invaded and conquered Britain after the Roman Empire collapsed in the 5th century CE. The Anglo-Saxons were largely from the areas of Europe that today corresponds with Germany and Denmark (Anglia, where we get "anglo" meaning "English" from, was a part of what we'd call northern Germany today).

The real English Lyrics, derived from Paris video.
    Valknut
Common, earths and pressure, churning, lights expression. Common, hearts are greying. Can man help from sailing. Fee-fi-fo-fum my hands are pressed ta flank ya. Seas sling, now, hold to them. I slay the snakes. Release, lease. Cou-ld-n’t help from singing, common iron, hearts a springing, put them in earths and rhymes, I can’t deny, oh how I despise ya. Fee-fi-fo-fum my hands are pressed ta flank ya. Sieged under, hold to them. I slay the snakes. release, release, lease, least of, I fear, waves swell, waves roll, waves swell, I feel it, flames roll, winds blow, waves roll, I feel it. This road, I fear. Common man, hurt and frightened, bite into road to dragon, all their ships are sinking, with them hearts are dank and… Fee-fi-fo-fum my hands are pressed ta flank ya. Sieged under, hold them back, the ship is under Lincoln frost. The night of heart has left them bushed. Lease, least, lease, least, lease, least, lease, least, least of, I fear. Winds blow, waves roll, let’s go, stamp your feet, flames roll, winds blow, let’s row, Valknut Link, winds blow, waves roll, let’s go, stamp your feet. Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go, I feel waves swell, winds blow, flames roll, I fell winds blow, flames roll, winds roll, Valknut Links.
