This absolutely beautiful baby cardigan sweater is knit from the top down all in one piece with no need to use circular needles. You can make this little sweater smaller or bigger by simply changing needle size and making it exactly like this tutorial ignoring the measurements provided in the tutorial since those only apply to the size mentioned at the beginning of the video. See below. Keep in mind that THESE SIZES ARE BASED ON STANDARD SIZE MEASUREMENTS AND NOT ALL BABIES ARE THE SAME SIZE. ALSO YOUR TENSION WILL VARY WHICH CAN AFFECT THE FINAL SIZE.

Preemie use 3.5mm needles w/ #3, DK, #4, Aran or 10ply yarn
NB use 4mm needles with #3, DK, #4, Aran or 10ply yarn
0-3M use 4.5mm needles with #3, DK, #4, Aran or 10ply yarn
3-6M use 5mm needles with #4, Aran or 10ply yarn
6-12M use 5.5mm needles with #4, Aran or 10ply yarn
🍄Approx. Gauge in 2in= 16 rows/8.25 sts with 4.5 needles and Aran yarn in stockinette stitch
🌷Buttons: Six 13mm
💐Needles used: 4.5mm, US size 7, Clover 32in long circulars, you can use straight needles too

I found your channel because I’m going to be a grandma (finally 🤣🤣🤣🤩🤩) it’s been 35 years since I’ve knitted my daughter and niece’s fair isle sweaters.
