Also the tone in his voice is shocking...Man from Bronx you need to take up meditation (hopefully you have since this recording in 1978) to get over your ego and calm your mind which is a wonderful jewel of wisdom. yeah!! sattvic food and vegetarian food....these concept there is indian text since no idea when...now west come up with radical veganism nonsense--when there is abundance in nature we can benefit from it ....milk if u let the calves drink all the milk that cow can give it will damge the stomach functioning and u will see calves excreta is like water...i m from famer family!!! but exploitation is main from....almost indian rural household always own a or 2 or 4 cow for its need we often don't have diary fam but urban india have that is also from cooperative rural industry owned by rural india....

I doubt Swami tried to make Jack be anything he wasn't; I think he was simply appreciating Jack for whatever he was, obviously with many wonderful qualities that he shared with Swami himself.
well dairy products are part of life in India. Even in every ahrams, with some exception probably ( of course ). And even the Yog GOD the Yogeshwar shri krishan was also very found of dairy and cow. So hence we call the cow another mother .. Anyways I don't see what the big deal is unless the cows are being capt in inhumane conditions which unfortunately they are.
hardik patel What i have read is that fruits and veggies radiations are near human being(6000units) and milk's radiation(maybe around 2000 units) is far less than humans.Indian cows milk is good for body but not good for the soul because it increases animalistic tendencies.Even osho said that milk is not good for spiritiual aspirant although for an enlightened being milk is best.So i am trying to reduce milk intake.

Swami Satchidananda did ask for dairy products to be removed from the ashram diet but there was a lot of pushback. This debate is still ongoing.
