What is the earliest they could start to hatch, my shop bought is now on day 14 and looks the same
Scarlet Reaper I have had some hatch at day 15. Day 18 when most should start to hatch depends on humidity and if the heat temp has been steady.
Sara Bear ok thanks for that, can't wait to see it I'm so excited. Mine being a make shift incubator I can't tell what temp and humidity are but to get this far I must be doing something right lol

If that is day 14 the vain will not be visible i think this eggs is day 12 or 10
@Madeline Myers i have the same out of my 7 eggs are 5 almost completely black and i checked them on day 13. Incubating day doesn't count.
I can see the air pocket in mine, but everything else is black. Hopefully they will hatch.
On mine it’s all black except a little patch of reddish fluid and the air pocket

True! My cell phone light works way better then regular candling. Just had 26 more hatch yesterday :)
tomorrow, im going to check on my quails. Today is day 13
most of my eggs died at days 14 :( i dont know whats wrong. i just use simple incubator anyway.they don't even move at all :'(
lower the temperature down a little to like 96 or 94 on lockdown. good luck
You need to high the temperature when lock dow so they can gain more strength to open there shell
