I have almost completed a full traditional roguelike using beautiful (in my opinion) midjourney created tile graphics. All use Claude. If you break up your segments and have a basic knowledge of Unity you can literally use Claude of course to write sections of code but almost better...explain them to you as a personal tutor. It's just an amazing journey with Claude. Great video!

This is cool but you already have a good understanding of programming. I tried the same and got to a point where Claude and GpT couldnt resolve the issue and I dont know shiet about programming. lol I was trying to remake the classic game Luxor. I even sent video footage of the gameplay to Claude but we got stuck.

And that's why you ask it to explain stuff along the way so you can learn
I mean yeah, at some point you need to at least mediate incomplete code and properly fill in the blanks, it takes some form of abstract understanding to get that going. Still, even fairly new folks should get like 10-20 iterations of stuff working - and if all else fails, you can always have people tell you what you're missing and how you should approach this stuff. Learning your IDE and how to properly read and copy error messages should really be all you need, and if you ask Claude to go into debugging mode, it will handle the nitty-gritty for you just fine, still.

I know how to program, and i still have that problem lol. I end up not paying attention and then get totally lost. It's not quite there yet for making any real or even slightly complex code easily. I think, in time AI will be refined so that it can manage , summarize and check the code better. for now it's more of a fun toy

I am absolutely no developer, but have been trying Claude 3.5 out, and when the application or game becomes more complex, I hit limits and can't really continue to add any features to the project. Anyone else has the same issues?

You could at least provide a short abstract of what it is, you really can't expect reasonably big channels to just squeeze the information for a favor they'd be doing for you out of you - put the teaser upfront if you want someone to go for it.

Or, you know, kinda learn actual engine (and they are kinda not hard, right?) and, yeah, make kinda x10 better version with full control, right?, and understanding in kinda couple of months, so, yeah

Or, you know, kinda learn to ride a horse? (People have been doing it for thousands of years, right?) and, yeah, kinda don’t have to drill hundreds of feet in the ground to feed them? Or burn gasoline? Or need factories?
See how much of a jerk you sound like?

      >and they are kinda not hard, right
My guy, you're struggling with basic English orthography, who are you to tell anyone to "just learn" over the course of literal months (years more like it) when clearly a lifetime of using this skill still didn't quite work out for you?
Or maybe just provide some useful advice, like how you can leverage this thing to both enjoy "developing" right at this moment while STILL learning how to code - which these models are perfectly capable of. No need to go for the tired old "no pain, no gain"-shtick when clearly, encoding what you want to achieve in terms of natural language is infinitely more efficient, enjoyable, and, at least some time down the road, more educational, too? Always with these weird appeals to personal satisfaction.

Good luck with making games and not knowing how the code actually works, this is just a hello world, not even barely touching the complexity of what is required to create a 2D or 3D game, even if you make a full blown game, it's highly likely to fail against the competition, he is getting paid for making hello world game giving a false impression that you can probably make a good game with AI, that's not the case (don't accept my word for it, see it for yourself). Ask him to make a good game with AI and sell it and make a video on it.
