Hi friends, in this video I try to make a high power amplifier. This amplifier consists of 2 channels (stereo). Each channel uses 5 pairs of end transistors (2SC5200 & 2SA1943).
In this assembly, I only used a 5A 47VAC transformer. But this amplifier can still be upgraded up to 10A 55VAC (if using the same box). The total budget for this amplifier is around $120.

Couple of observations: 1) Use masking tape to protect painted panel from accidental damage while drilling holes. 2) Use nyloc nuts to secure modules to the chassis. If nyloc nuts are not available use thread-lock blue - Loctite 242 to keep nuts from backing off 3) Always use a wire hook to connect a wire to eyelet :( Do not rely on solder to provide mechanical support.

Oh right, an amp that the fan sounds louder than the music, marvellous.
You've never built a solid state amplifier that's obvious. People like you should start with a high voltage vacuum tube amp. Do zero research, maybe you won't live through it.

@@dougieroberts7045 before you judge maybe you should understand what speakers are being used and how this was recorded. I've listened to 1 million dollar Krell and Mark Levinson systems generating thousands of watts but for musicality I've been more blown away by analog systems running off batteries making less than 50 watts.
That’s fairly average by PA amplifier standards…
@@joshpoe This amplifier is not so powerful to run fans on idle or low load. My Yamaha amplifier turns on fans only on high load.
And good amplifier has to have balanced inputs.

ha, i saw what you did with the speakon, mounting holes where drilled in mirror, so you needed self tapping screws :) instead of the normal M3 bolts

파워 앰프를 인티로 만들어서 마이크도 되고
베이스볼륨과 고음볼륨도되고 셀럭터 스윗치도 달아서 외부입력 1,2,3, 그리고 가능하면 레코드 입력도 되고
전면에는 두개의 아날로구 출력메타를 크게두개 달아서 입체감을주고
PA앰프도 되지만 오디오용으로도 될수있는 멋진앰프도 가능한지 물어봅니다!^^
그리고 펜소리가 안들릴정도로 조용해야됩니다...

Nice looking amp. I'm a bit worried about lack of protection. I didn't see any fuse on that transformer. Also there should be some inductance to remove noise from line. I also didn't see any fuse on other side of that transformer. But who knows maybe there was some. Anyway. I would suggest to add steel plate from both sides so actual amplifier is shielded from transformer .It might help a little to remove the hum/noise.
the fuse is located in the ac connector socket @4:52
There is a fuse on the power inlet. A noise filer would have been nice, but there is no switchmode stuff and a lot of capacity, so I am sure it is fine.
@@Daaremikkel yes Sorry i did miss that. I'm glad for that also i'm glad for that second fuse on secondary. As you said some filtering would be nice and i'm not sure how effective it would be but i expect it will loose efficiency once higher power will come into play..but still it might be good idea to test it. Could you please make simple check ..Bring proper laboratory 6.5 digit meter and test AC voltage at the input of your power stage..I know you can't check all frequencies only line .but still this might show you how much AC you have in your amplifier..I would also suggest to check it with some load..lets say 400Hz on input with full power and then check it again..
@@SylwerDragon That and adding speaker protection would be a great idea especially given plenty of room inside the chassis. Overall, I think for the advertised budget it's a pretty solid build. Speaker protection would have only added maybe $10-15. At least in this build amp heatsinks are properly installed in line with fan airflow, seen so many in these DIY videos that are installed perpendicular to the airflow.

It may be a silly question, but I rarely if never see an amplifier using switching type power supply. Why?
Buenos días, Las fuentes switching no se recomiendan en estas aplicaciones por su esquema de entrega de corriente casi constante. Las fuentes para equipos de sonido pueden entregar grandes cantidades de corriente por un periodo corto de tiempo, para responder adecuadamente a la naturaleza transitoria del sonido. En resumen, las fuentes swithching se recomiendan en aplicaciones donde el consumo de corriente es prácticamente constante, mientras que las normales para estos casos (y otros, claro)
1: cost 2: "this is how we've always done it" mentality 3: SMPS would need high switching frequency and good filtering to make sure noise doesn't make it's way through. 4: would need tight integration with the amplifier section so it can preempt large current draw and not rely on watching the voltage of it's output dipping before it reacts to add more current in. 5: Most professional amps (at least all the recent ones I've seen) DO have SMPSs. 6: in the end, amps with SMPS are better since they can recharge capacitors must faster than 60Hz so you can use capacitors that are smaller and produce higher total output at lower frequencies.
