very nice video. i like how you explain all things with your soothing voice. i looked the anime only as a kid in free TV when i was 9 years old (20 years ago). and now withe the netflix live action, i bought the tcg with boosters and looking to the anime from episode 45.
I already played Pokémon before, and when I started buying One Piece cards it was mostly for the amazing art, but I made a deck and played a few games, and DAMN is it a fun game. I also hope more people get into it.
Exact same thing happened to me. I wanted to pull the Manga Shanks. Eventually I started playing the mobile tutorial app and it got addicting. Now I play non stop and also played in a few online Regionals. I plan to post a vid of my featured match a month back. Stay tuned!
I've always wanted to start watching One Piece, but was intimidated by the length. But then the card game came out and I loved it. This game has some similar mechanics to Vanguard, which I played before the reboot, so I wanted to actually start playing it since I no longer had friends to play Vanguard with. It got me to start watching the show so I can know who these characters are and pilot my own chosen crew into battle. I'm only just getting into Skypeia, but One Piece has quickly taken the throne as one of my favorite anime of all time, maybe even favorite pieces of fiction. I can't wait to see how this journey unfolds! Although one complaint I do have: I wish that Wanted Poster Rares were for Leader cards and not Characters. I just think it makes more sense, but it's still a fun design concept
I hope Wanted Poster Leaders become a thing in the future as well. What stresses me out is that I'll never be able to pull or afford the Manga Rare cards. If there is ever a Manga Robin card, I'm going to be very envious of anyone who pulls it. With how big the OP universe is, I hope there's a Gol D. Roger deck/Leader.
great video!! I resonated with many of your points. I also had a similar experience, but for me I am not a huge anime guy HOWEVER the ONLY anime I have watched for just over 10 years now is One Piece. about 7-8 years ago, I stopped around episode 500 sub version, the card game came out and it got me back into watching it (currently about episode 820).. I love One Piece, but not like a hardcore fan, instead it is just an anime I love, and the ONLY one I liked. The game got me back into watching the series, but the main reason I got into the game was to meet new people and have a good time, and so far its been doing just that!
I convinced one of my coworkers (who did not watch One Piece) to pick up the card game. This was his first TCG and he's addicted and we talk strats all the time. He now is watching One Piece but taking it very slowly. It's funny how he's a Kaido Purple player and he doesn't even KNOW who Kaido is. He is liking One Piece, and there's nothing better for OP fans than seeing more OP fans join the community. He's currently in the Water 7 Arc.
I love the passion in this video but consider a tighter script for future content - on some bits it was very rambly and hard to figure out where the point was going
Thank you for the advise. I've tried scripts before and I usually end up more robotic, especially when I'm on camera. I do tend to ramble a lot. I try to show my passion more than anything else, so I'm glad you noticed.
I wouldn't say I have made any arguments, but from what I have heard from other experienced TCG players, the game is very well designed fun to play. The future looks bright for the game itself, but if I get sick of it, I can just collect the cool art work.
I was thinking of playing. Bought a starter deck when it first came out. It was too expensive. I want to play now after a year, and it's still too damn expensive. How do they expect us to pay so much. They gotta fix this. A lot of people don't play because good cards are like 20 a pop. And a lot of time you need play sets of multiple cards lmao. 😂
Started opening set 1 just to start collecting it. Now, Building a red Whitebeard pirates deck around the parallel Whitebeard i pulled. Really hope to get into some local tournaments sometime soon
If I ever start to get sick of playing (especially with power creep incoming in set 4) I can always go back to collecting. Being a One Piece fan today is great. Every teaser OP card makes me want to create a Master Set, but for the price of Manga cards, that may be impossible. My only goal is Leader AAs and DON! AAs...and maybe waifus
I have a lot to say about it. I am making another One Piece video very soon. But to start things off with the LA right now? I thought it was pretty good.
This video was brought to you by the word bias. But seriously, the player who goes first has the highest chance of losing... literally force of will and bleach had a separate deck of resource cards that you get overtime. I guess the life system is tried and true in games like duelmasters, dragonball super, dragoborn and more. But i think the biggest problem is that you didn't explain the GAME well enough, you just went full on fanboy mode. 90% everything else one piece, and 10% about the actual game, and that was just about the resource card name, not even how it functions. But what do i know? I'm just an unbiased individual.

Thanks for having you! Keep going bro!
I think I have been convinced. Very strong compeling arguments here.

That scream on going merry got me rolling 😂😂😂
Thank you, it's actually one of the main reasons I wanted to film this vid. I've had that bit locked up ever since the Live Action announcement
I have some interest in playing this, but I don't want to yet because I'm catching up on the anime and I don't want spoilers.

Subbed. Great work mann, keep it up!
Honestly red dominates the Meta
Agreed. Hopefully the meta balances out in set 4 and 5
I thought don! is taken from Tom (franky master) cut phrase.. as he always said to do everything with Don! 😂
This my casual on side during yugioh
I love yugioh as well, big fan of Cyber Dragons
One of the best tcg

How did you feel about the live action?
I have a lot to say about it. I am making another One Piece video very soon. But to start things off with the LA right now? I thought it was pretty good.
Obviously you need to play this game to bring home the bacon
Bringing me home means you either have more OP cards to trade for or we're coming together to talk One Piece. Or play more One Piece.
Like the enthusiasm dude! Nice video!
facts
Why the singles hard to get 😢
Just wait, as time goes on, reprints will come and drive prices down.
2-1 gang, wahooo
A few days ago I started 2-0, and going 3-0 gets you winners packs. I lost to a Red Luffy deck that dropped TWO 9 drop Whitebeards back to back 😭😭😭
I play this and DBS
How is DBS? A lot of players from my shop are former DBS players and/or current Digimon players.
@@ATonOfBacon ez to play hard to master i enjoy the game tho for what its worth
