Saw this tour at The Summit in Houston. Had floor seats. KLOL was telling people that this concert was going to be loud. I am telling you it was so loud. That my ears were ringing for 3 days afterwards! I had never experienced that before. And I had been to a lot of concerts prior to that! One hell of a concert!
Merci, grands artistes, vous restez inconditionnellement des faiseurs de sons d'une étoffe rare ( un souvenir des années 1980 dans Paris, la capitale du monde).
Lovedrive was brilliant and michael contributed more than he got credited for but he was a poor fit for the scorpions. Mathias fits much better as evidenced by the 100 M units sold.
This is an unbelievable document from the Blackout tour and thanks very much for sharing this. Manos from Athens Greece. Dont want to find out just want to get out.Blaaaackoooouuut
I was in the Navy in 1982, my fiancee' had to leave on the USS Enterprise from Alameda Ca. on an 8 month deployment. I was desperate to see the Scorpions in Concert in Fresno near where i was stationed so we drove 3hrs to Alameda dropped his seabag off at the ship, drove back to Fresno to attend the concert, then drove back to Alameda so he could be on the ship in time! Best concert ever! Still have the T-shirt!
Yeah Fresno Selland Arena has good acoustics for concerts you lucky as i was to see them in concert, i saw them twice in Fresno my sister personally knows all the band members.
I saw this gig in Edmonton Alberta on July 28th, 1982 in a venue that held about 6000 people. There were two opening acts. One of them was a band named "Iron Maiden" and they had a brand new singer and a new album to support. And Bruce was FULL of "piss and vinegar" that night. No punches pulled...all of the screams from the beast album tracks. When they went off the stage (after the mandatory "Iron Maiden" (c/w "Eddie") I thought? How on earth are Klaus, Rudi and company going to follow this up? Believe me? They brought it in spades. And they obviously knew that they were setting themselves in a "hard act to follow" position, even at that early point in the tour. Every Maiden show I have seen since has been held to that standard and it will never be reached...ever again. They Played a 50 minute set, (No crowd chat, no drum solo, all killer, NO filler) and most of it was from the Beast LP. The only crowd chat/ DiAnno was the last tune. You had to be there to really appreciate the major significance of it all. One year later? I saw Bruce and company (roadworn) in Calgary on the Piece of Mind tour and he was DONE. Not VINCE NEIL kind of done... but he was done. On 28 July, 1982? Klaus was given'r shit like he really cared about it, Rudi and Mattias sang their asses off and they ultimately made me forget (briefly) about the awsomeness of Iron Maiden at that point in time. It's really all about time and place. Very few experienced Maiden like I describe them to you guys. I am one fortunate SOB.
I was at the 7-2 show in Chicago, I too was 16 and it too was my first "real concert" Both Maiden and Scorps were great, but Maiden brought the live evil that night
I was at Newcastle city hall on Blackout tour. I also met maiden later on the somewhere in time tour when they turned up at the mayfair . Steve Harris got the beers in fantastic night.
Saw this tour in NYC. They opened for Rainbow and blew them away. Amazing mike swinging by Klaus! Met Jean Beauvoir of the Plasmatics at the show. Good times.
I saw this show twice that year.. first time they opened for a guy by the name of Nugent at the Cow Palace in SF, some of you might have heard of him.. haha.. Scorps were just total badassery from start to finish. They didn't do their full set since they were opening but they killed it. Nugent was a massive stadium headliner in those days and he was just as, if not more awesome. Saw Scorps as headliners a few months later.. Great great show from a truly magical time.. All those phenomenal rock bands at their zenith around this time that we saw in big stadium shows - Scorps, Maiden, Rush, Nugent, ACDC, UFO, Montrose, Rainbow, Pat Travers, Nazareth, The Outlaws, Blue Oyster Cult, Aerosmith(I'm not really a fan and when I did see them they were wasted), Sammy Hagar..I mean really-- what a great time to be alive.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO!!! I WAS WAITING 30 YEARS TO SEE A VIDEO FROM 82 ERA!!!THIS IS THE BEST SCORPIONS VIDEO EVER!!!THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
The loudest concert tour i have ever seen! I couldn't hear for days after. They used some kind of crazy overpowered PA system. KLOL 101 told people this prior to the concert. I was like. Yeah right. And it was.
I saw them in Clermont Ferrand that tour. Matthias had short hair, in my memories...I don't remember the month or day, or maybe it was the year before....what an interesting comment, isn't it?
I met him in Nottingham. I was working for way ahead records and Dave Brett, the owner, was interviewing him for radio trent and invited me over to meet him. He gave me a signed copy of his solo album. Happy times
Spinal Tap stage entrance? WTF? I saw this tour at the Porte de Pantin (maybe where this was shot? Dunno!) but this was the best stage entrance EVER (and it is now almost 40 years ago...) What this doesnt show is the build up to the blinds raising and the band bounding onto the stage from beneath the drum riser....ah maybe you just had to be there lol!
The echo is a double edged sword.W hen it interrupts the other words its horrible but at those certain moments, its amazing. But itd have been better without
Saw them at Manchester on this tour. Remember clearly the blinds ascending and blasting off with Blackout. Great, great time to be young.
17 years old it was my first big concert June 21 1982 . I still have the concert tour shirt . I couldn't believe what I was seeing , it was awesome .
1982 was the first time I saw the Scorpions. Brilliant night, brilliant band. Need them to tour the UK again.
Thankfully they found Matthias Jabs From they Solo Guitarplayer. He is so good and energise and powerful player. This band always Kicking ass.

This concert given me Blackout
I can feel the rhythm of rock soul between 80s 90s 2000s
80' lovely, can't forget
90' touching
2000' not bad..
Matthias Jabs. How fortunate they were to find that guy. Amazing.
Bof....I never stood his sound, no personality, no imagination, only tricks picked up to Edward Van Halen.....

I think they should’ve put even more echo on the lead vocals channel. 🤦🏻♂️
Karaoké? ^^
Yes why so much.
WAY too much echo on the vocal !!!
Great band great song but too much reverb on the vocals. I saw this tour when they open for Rainbow in Toronto. These guys rock hard 🤘🤘
The recording was probably from the soundboard. All the reverb and delay will leak through. I'm sure it sounded fine from the stage.
Theres was a huge promotion on reverb 🤣 table mix source i guess
Matthias Jabs.. enough said!!!!
yo ambien amo Scorpions a Klaus love love

must be from the soundboard recording.Nice footage though

Man the sound on this is bad. Should remaster it and bring the music up to the level of the vocals.
Я ещё даже не родидся
The first time they looked stoned, really. Watch their smile.
Klaus has trichotillomania.
Break OUT!! Don't believe a BREAKOUT !!
the audience was really bad that time
Lotsa vocal echo
Hermann " u know " Rarebell
Had to laugh a bit. A Spinal Tap stage entrance. Other than that, great.

Daniel Harris tu m'étonnes;;;;
Daniel Harris tired voice, I guess, the Echo helps somewhat...
Sound engineer should have been replaced after 30 seconds. Horrible for such a great band.
Poor sound
Their sound man should be fired, all that echo. Sounds like crap.
Probably the monitor mix :)
And what a shame that sound guy man I should dig them up where is ass if he still alive way too much delay on the vocals making it sound like poop
What a weired delay.
