- Colgate Comedy Hour (Nov 1952) begins with the sketch "Life-Sized Television." Songs include "There Goes My Heart," "Louise," "Because of You" & "You'll Never Get Away." Sketches include "School for Tarzans" & "Wild Child." Special guests include Kitty Kallen & Danny Arnold.
Love this episode. That Wild Child sketch is one of my all time favorites. :)
Years later, writer Norman Lear and director Alan "Bud" Yorkin would team up to form their own production company, "Tandem Productions"- and produced "ALL IN THE FAMILY", 'SANFORD AND SON", "MAUDE", "GOOD TIMES", et. al.
Originally telecast live on November 30, 1952. Opposite them, Ed Sullivan's "TOAST OF THE TOWN" (on CBS) offered Nelson Eddy, Robert Peters, Ronnie Graham, The Princeton Triangle Club players, Phil Moore's orchestra, and Collier's magazine's choices for the annual "All-American Football Team"......
Still stands the test of time. Jerry & Robin Williams so similar apart that Robin never switched off.
56:53 so cute they used their real names
Anyone from Steubenville, Ohio watching? Does Steubenville Station still look like it did in the first song?
17:02-17:06, a strategically set up shot. thank goodness for blind censors.
Reaction of Dean Martin from 37:52 - 38:02 - so funny
At 31 : 16 , is that Kitty Kallen falling on her butt ? What a cute scene . Hehe .
