Parsing is by far the most toxic shit invented for wow , and im an enjoyer and a beneficiary of this system , but we can't deny that high parsers are ppl that do what's best to receive high rating instead of doing what is required by the raid leader.
Asmongold's point about parsing is right. If you do the boss fight properly then you can forget about top parses. Wanna be 95+ you must zerg the boss by ignoring mechanics or do something stupid, like taunting bosses for a little bit extra DPS. Parsing makes the game more of an e-sport than an MMORPG.
Too many people like addons. The "no add ons" community is the tiniest vocal group ever. I have addons for respawn times on tuskar boxes. I wouldn't want that built into the game itself. It wouldn't benefit anyone but the .0001% that actively farm tuskar boxes. MOST addons are not combat addons.
WoW is the only game with a super heavy addon culture and in all 100% honesty it's bad for new players and beginners. I never EVER played WoW but wanted to try it out but after all the bad PR news turned me away kind of but thew addons and this 100% nailed the coffin and turned me away. People who play WoW act like they need addons because they don't want to be on the same boss or dungeons for hours but I've been on a raid boss for hours and I rarely had people leaving and complaining and the more experienced players are telling what the newer players should do and what to fix and their mistakes. That's fun and that's why I play. Apparently not WoW.
@@Demonsouls1993 I have 3k+ hours in ESO. The thing is in ESO you DON'T NEED addons and addons isn't toxic in gameplay like in raids because other players can't see. Hell I never played with addons for like 2k hours in ESO and everything was fine. WoW addons are super toxic and everyone is a super asshole if you don't use it and they kick you. There's TWO HUGE difference.
@@richardkim3652the addon is only relevant if you make a mistake. If you’re wiping a raid of 25 people because you don’t want to download an addon, you’re toxic not the addon. Peoples time matters you dork.
Is there any other semi popular games where third party addons are just considered apart of the game? Like its such an old and outdated mindset. Imagine telling some kid that all they need to do to play fortnight is download minimun 10 addons + weakauras to be on the same level as everyone else. It just sounds so ridiculous
Parsing is good, addons and WA being able to access combat log is bad. It creates a massive force multilier on skill that creates a massive barrier to entry for new players and forces blizzard to design fights in really stupid degenerate ways that are only solveable by 99% of players through having a WA play the game for you. Wow pve and pvp was better and more immersive when fights were technically easier but no one used was to track every single thing and just used basic boss timers and their EYES AND EARS AND BRAINS to actually look at other players//theboss and figure out what to so themselves.
Blizzard needs to make servers for sweat lords, casuals, RP'rs, no addons, ect.,.. segregate the player base and every body is happier, they will find new things to complain about, but atleast they are on a server full of like minded people.
Seggregating playerbase never worked. If you think that only casuals will play on casual dedicated realms you're wrong. Sweatlords love to infiltrate into noob communities to show who is the boss here.
Games do this naturally. in the beginning of wow the players decided "illidan" was the good server. What that meant is everyone that thought they were good went to illidan. You know who a lot of the absolute worst players are skill wise? People that think they're good. Now with that natural progression for the server; Illidan is a small chunk of hyper focused guilds and 97% terrible baddies.
The addon thing is cooked, I will never use Blizzard's shitty base UI ever again, I did it for over a decade and that was good for me. Bag addons and bar addons aren't hurting a fucking thing. I want to be able to move UI elements, resize them and I DO like custom art, so fuck banning all addons. Now IO and parse shit like that, sure. DPS meters for me, have to stay, I don't want some cocksucker hitting 2 buttons and phoning it in doing less than 1% of the DPS and getting rewarded with loot when I could have replaced him with someone that actually does damage. At the same time, I don't HAVE to have a full group of 99 parsers. I've been in guilds that are good and still reasonable about your parse history. There is a middle of the road here.

Its so funny seeing him get so passive aggressive when it comes to people criticizing parsing
That conversation is cringe
Just make wow2 have all adons ads befor game cep wow orgen same😔
What do you mean, this company has shutting down their eyes for years^^
has blizzard ever shut anything down yes yes they have look up nost server
Ita a little funny cause they got mad at aomeone in shadowlands for doing the same thing
Idk man the addon heavy ppl are a small percentage.
