- Hey guys! This video is an extension of my part one I have posted and just kind of updates and over Christmas, I got my new purple cast in this video as well. My next video coming will be how I workout with my broken ankle and then after that I am planning on showing you guys how I do certain things such as stairs, get up from the floor, get into the shower, wrap my cast for the shower, etc. Let me know if you have any ideas for future videos or what you'd like to see more of! I had broken my left ankle almost 11 years ago from a car accident on March 7th,2012. I do what it felt liked,too. I was 41 years old. It did suck for me not even enjoying an early summer back then. I was in one bedroom at my parents house for my recovery time. I have to used something that I did my business. I used a walker for in the bedroom and even used a wheelchair for 2 months. I had 3 different casts on my left leg. My swelling went down 4 days after my fiberglass cast was taken off. I was so lucky to have my parents were around. I even had staples pulled out just before the fiberglass cast was put on. I think it was 25 staples. 13 on one side and 12 on the other. My first cast was splint cast. I even wore the boot cast a little bit longer. When I was wearing the fiberglass cast before it was taken off that I stood up. I didn’t used any weight on that ankle. My parents had a cute little dog that for the first 2 weeks that I didn’t allowed him to jumped on me for a petted or even to cuddle with. When I got a fiberglass cast on he did jumped on the bed and cuddled. I still have some issues with it off and on.

Had almost the exact same break, almost one year since, still have pain and a limp
I had 2 open foot surgeries on both my feet I was in a lot of pain my feet were very flat that they had to fuse the bones together with screws I got screws all over my feet to make the arch

Alex 21 thank you!!! Yes I am planning on recording one this weekend on how I do different things with my crutches such as stairs, standing up, get into the shower, wrap my cast for the shower, let me know if there’s anything else you’d like me to include!

I am really sorry to see that you broke your ankle and you are in a cast. When will you have your cast removed? I was in a cast too.I broke my wrist and thumb playing soccer. I had my third cast removed months ago. Have a full and speedy recovery.
Alex 21 I will get a new cast the 13th but will have one for another 6 weeks I am non weight bearing for a total of 8 weeks! Oh wow so you know some of my pain! I hope your recovery is going well!
@@abbiedavidson568 Oh yes I really know how much it sucks being in a cast. I had to change 3 casts because I had broken my wrist and thumb very bad and it needed a lot of time to heal.Is this the first time you are in a cast? I really hope the last as well. did you get a cast shoe to wear over your cast? cast shoes come in different colors like blue, black , tan , and even a sandal type cast shoe
old skool andy no I just covered my toes with a sock when I had to leave the house I was non weight in my cast, so no shoe
@@abbiedavidson568 the socks that work really well over a cast are hospital type socks and non slip slipper socks like keds slipper socks.the fuzzy type socks would probably be able to stretch over a cast.

@@abbiedavidson568 in school there was a girl in my class who had a purple cast on her leg with a blue cast shoe. as the class signed her cast she kept saying"dont touch my toes". then she told us that her ankle sock wouldnt fit over her cast. she ended up getting a bigger sock to wear over her cast. she even kicked a soccer ball with here casted leg.

Please change the background music for ur next video and lower it a bit as it’s overwhelming your voice and makes it hard for the listener/viewer. I enjoyed your story telling and cats! I am also sporting a broken ankle, 10 days post surgery. The pain goes.
