Doubt the chicken in crockpot will be brown after its done.
A slow cooker is supposed to cook food really thoroughly and as the name says, slow. So if you were actually going to cook the chicken their way, it would be okay with the aromatics and spices, it'll just be dry and very white.

I have one and my mom cooks in it all the time and the chicken does not get brown like that but that might be how theirs works idk

No matter how strong the glass of your preserves if the internal temperature is hot & you cool the external bottle too quickly it will explode in your hands so melting chocolate like that is very dangerous. Just use your microwave with a microwave safe dish.
On the same note, your windshield will also crack if you try to melt ice with hot water for the same reason.
