If Tom took down Jones or started hitting him harder then he ever has, I think Jones would be shocked, wouldn't know what to do and get beat. I'm with you. Every single time Jon fights, there is always this conversation. Every time , he came out victorious. Jon Jones is literally the greatest MMA fighter ever, and it's not even close.
This conversation started after Jones started showing little effort to win fights, specially in the Ovince Saint Preux fight. What I think is: fighters sometimes can get bored of winning; it can seem weird at first but it can happen, to the point that they gradually start to lose interest in putting effort in it and wanting to just get the job done with the least effort possible. It may have happened to Anderson and Fedor, but the only difference is that Jones was the only one who managed to keep on track to at least win by points.
@@indianna.777 Jones didn't fight to 45 years old like Fedor, nor did he fight as many champions like fedor had to, 8-9 former champs either FROM ufc or pride, fedor beat. Many in their prime or almost in their prime, except a few occasions like rampage. etc
Tom is a natural heavyweight but as fast as a middleweight. Jones is a lightweight that had one easy fight at heavyweight. Jon's heart isn't in it anymore, Tom is moving up. That's what I think. 👍🏻
This is an awful take even my Chanel’s standard. Most fans and the bookies believe Tom will probably win. Chael says Jon has done nothing to suggest that Jon can be knocked out. Firstly that doesn’t mean anything because neither had Volk before he got stopped twice. Secondly what has Aspinall done to suggest he couldn’t just beat Jon up for 5 rounds? It’s not like we’ve ever seen him tired, just like we’ve never seen Jon seriously hurt
So what's your point. You 🤡 are terrible and have no respect for legends. It's a new bum every week. First Jones can't be that other hard-hitting guy. Can't even remember his name. Jon was running from him, right. Then this Tom dude smokes him, and now he's the guy lol. Now Jon is running from him. It's a new guy every 4 months 😂. Let these guys stand the test if time before we start to cement these one trick pony.
Aspinall is the favourite. For good reason, he's the best heavyweight in the world elite grappler, dynamite puncher, cleared out the division beating everyone in the top 5 except gane that's turned down a fight with him twice and has the shortest average fight time in UFC history. Jones is an inactive LHW that's had 1 fight at HW, that he only took because ngannou left the promotion. He's had one fight in the past 4 years against a man with no grappling skills, Aspinall has fought 9 times in that space of time including completely blowing his knee out and having surgery and a year off. Of those fights 8 finishes, 7 in the first round and his last three fights combined fight time is 3:22. It's not hard to see why people are picking him.
Few things here. You can't really argue with Chael's stance on we've seen Jon's toughness (albeit best part of a decade ago) but we haven't seen Tom's yet. However, there is no doubt that Tom has a resilience and mentality to come through. All the historic evidence points towards Jon's experience and know how that may overwhelm Tom. As a Brit and a fan of Tom it is worth a thought and leads me to a conclusion: There is absolutely no doubt in my mind, Aspinall wins any way that he wants to.

Tom wins entirely on the striking alone. Jon can stand and bang for sure but he’s not fast like Tom is and that’s going to be a massive problem for Jon. Youth is no longer on his side in a fight against Tom and that will without shadow of a doubt be the biggest contributor to Jon losing if he does fight Tom and lose. Jon’s advantage comes from grappling, but he’s going to have to get close to Tom for that even take place and everyone who does get close to Tom like that gets KO’d in round one.
@@andrewrai5752 exactly so it completely nullifies the edge that Jon even brings to the table. I think he gets absolutely smashed if he fights Tom unless he fights an absolutely perfect fight and makes literally 0 mistakes.

I’ve been saying since the first time I saw Tom Espinal in the UFC that he would beat Jones. He moves like a middleweight, black belt and jujutsu unbelievable power the exact recipe to beat John Jones.
RIP Anthony Rumble Johnson, I bring this legend up because he had speed like a welter weight( at 205) and punched like a heavyweight. Look what DC did to Rumble. I see a similar fight between Tom and Jon. What happens to Tom when his opponent doesn't fall down? What happens when Jon kicks his knees over and over? Cuts his head wide open? Drops elbows for 3 minutes on top of Tom? Tom's overall fight time in the UFC something like 15 minutes in nine fights. How many hours is Jon Jones been in the octagon five? I'm guessing I don't really know. Nobody walks through Jon Jones, nobody. Tito tapped. 🍻🇺🇲
How many of those fights were against a 260lb Heavyweight that's a new generation fighter? I'm not sure we can compare Lyoto , Dominic Reyes or Anthony Smith to Tom , 14 1st round finishes at Heavyweight, Aspinall.
Rumble and Tom’s skillsets aren’t comparable. Rumble probably hit harder even though he was a LHW, he was just pure raw power. Tom is powerful too but also has ridiculous speed, timing and an ability to find the chin that rumble didn’t have. Tom has also shown himself to be a much stronger grappler than Rumble although I admit that has been mostly grappling offence not defense.
Real bro, its hard to see Aspinall winning, but its possible. Aspinall is a better striker at HW, but Jon has good defense and a damn good chin. Jon won't strike with him so the fight will be mostly wrestling, and even though Aspinall also has solid wrestling and tdd, Jones is far more skilled when it comes to ground game. It won't be as easy as Gane, but ultimately Jon will take him down. One thing I noticed about Aspinall is that early into the fight, he usually takes a step back and then moves his upperbody far back to avoid strikes and when he does that he stops his footwork and his legs are right there to shoot for. Jones can maybe copy his old rival DC here : throw a jab, feint an overhand right and go for the legs. But, its MMA. Anything can happen, I may be wrong, I may be right. And also lets not forget Stipe, people are sleeping on him more.
100% of people thing Tom beats Jon. Actually watch Jon’s striking at the start of his only fight in the past 4 years.. Tom finishes Jon so fast. He way too big and powerful.
Jon is older, he’s only fought once at heavyweight, he has not been a very active fighter, he’s coming off a significant injury, and he won the belt by beating a pretty lackluster opponent who wasn’t the champion. I’d say the deck is stacked against him. There are no absolutes, but my pick is Tom.
@stonish9328 fair point. But I don't that's it either. JBJ has 1, maybe 2 fights left. I think it's more about legacy. Fighting stipe would be goat vs goat. Aspinall is more what the fans want to see, but not really a huge benefit for jones or his legacy. It's a business at the end of the day.
Tom slept Sergei, who had more KOs in 6 matches, in a row, in 6 minutes, than Jon has had in his entire UFC career, in 69 seconds & made it look easy. 100% finish rate - deal with it.

Before the Gane fight people were doubting jones takedown ability due to his prior fights with Reyes and Thiago. These clowns will always come up with excuses and do revisionist history.
I think *you* guys are just trying to goad Jon into risking his fight legacy for no good reason that benefits him. So you’ll keep feeding him gwh’s until something cracks. The truth is even if Jon destroys Aspinall, which deep down you all know he would (poor aspinall, I guess), you all would make excuses, or still disrespect Jon place as champ by digging up some other poor sod and throwing stones at Jones praying that next guy lands some lucky attack or in your best of wishes catches Jon slipping, all so you can look down your narrow noses at him. I mean that’s fine but let’s be real you are all sick, and Jon ain’t no sucka
Aspinall’s finished Volkov, Pavlovich and Blaydes all in the first round, three out of the top five heavyweights (Aspinall ranked 1st). What else more has Aspinall got to prove to Jones that he has done enough. Jon Jones is just belittling Aspinall, cherry picking easier fights. Aspinall is the BEST in the heavyweight division and Jones doesn’t fancy the risk!
The one thing about Jon is he knows who's seriously a knockout threat to him so he will do everything within his fight IQ to avoid that while picking his moments. Tom has to time him, something no one has been able to do before. If he can't and it goes 5 rounds, Jon wins by decision. Tom is definitely the next heavyweight champ, whenever it can happen for him.
I’m not buying stipe vs jon, if they make that fight I might not buy any anymore. Stipe hasn’t fought in 5 years. GSP was only out for 4 before his comeback. This is insane. Strip Jon.

Tom's been so good, we don't really know how good he is...if that makes sense. We need to see him go some rounds and we need to see more of his grappling. We also don't really know how good Jon is at HW as he's only had 1 walkover
Hard to bet against Jon when you see how easy he made it look in beating both Cyril & Stipe. He uses weapons no other heavyweight has and his fight IQ is unmatched. Not having more fight footage of Tom to review is certainly in Tom’s favor - as is his age and size - but I could not bet against the GOAT- 0:06 can’t wait to watch it!
This is glazing to the highest degree, you’re wrong Chael, yes we have seen Jon Jones wobble as he has been out struck before, yes we have Jon Jones taken off his feet as he has been picked up and taken down, no we have not seen Jon Jones submit to anything yet, but no one is unbeatable, Jon Jones at Heavyweight is not the same man as he was, Jon Jones was The perfect Light Heavyweight because he was perfectly built and tough for that division, now he is slow and he is not as fit, He didn’t even take the number one ranked Heavyweight at the time plus Ciryl Gane didn’t even earn the belt that was given to him, Even Francis Ngannou out wrestled Ciryl, Tom Aspinall seems to be a good all round fighter who is a more natural and powerful Heavyweight, Stop glazing Jon Jones just because he beat you
Jon didn't even realise he'd done it till Rogan pointed it out to him. What ensued from Jon is comparable to Tom's reaction when he blew his knee out. Jon nearly passed out, that's why Joe was calling for the chair.
I remember they though Cyril gane would win too 😆 Old man jones will run through Tom like a freight train 🚂 Tom just wants the money of fighting the almost 40 year old 🐐
HELL YES!! Chael highlighted a list of unknowns about Tom. Well, the same thought experiment can be applied to Jon. Firstly, he is NOT a heavyweight. He is a light heavyweight who has consistently had a notable size advantage over all of his LHW opponents. He has never faced an opponent with not only a size advantage but speed and power advantage as well. The only way I see Jon beating Tom if it goes to the judges and we all saw what happened in the Reyes fight. Personally, I think Jon will sidestep Tom and for the same reason he sidestepped Francis. The risk to his precious "legacy" is just too high.
I'm not betting against Jon no matter who he fights. I like the phrase Dana White uses, if Jon and any other guy walks into a room and only 1 can walk out, Jon walks out every time!! Thats Badass!!!
All of these Tom lovers baffle me! Has any one of you ever watched a Jon Jones fight? Tom may have a lot of power but have you ever seen Jon get hit😮. Go back and watch his fights!! Tom won't touch him!!!
How could jon beat Tom he's at least as good or better at every thing that jon does along with him doing things that jon has never done throughout his career. We also have yet to see Tom lose a fight while jon has lost before at LHW which was his prime even on PEDs he wasn't knocking out LWH's like tom is at heavy weight not to mention that the fighter's tom has fought are more challenging Oppents while jon fought big middle weights and non well rounded fighters in his prime fighters were simply less skilled then they are now making Jon's achievements less valuable in the modern era arguably making tom have the better record
I'm with you Chael, I'm no pro, just a fan with a few punches to the face, but if Tom hits Jon flush, it will hurt. I admire and have massive respect for you guys. Modern day gladiators. Warriors. If it goes longer than 2 rounds, I'm going with Jon.
Tom’s striking accuracy sells me on this, but damn it’s hard to call it when you talk about jones quitting. I can’t picture him ever quitting, and idk if Tom puts him out proper with Jon not having time to scramble for a single or something
Tom would have to finish him… we saw with the Reyes fight and the Gustafson fight that the judges will give Jon the win even when he doesn’t deserve it. But it crazy that someone who was a fighter in the ufc, who felt his body and tolerance for damage change over the years, and clearly saw changes in others, would still make a video about the invincible Jon Jones. He’s not a young kid anymore, he’s been out for extended periods, he is fighting at a weight he’s not used to. He can be knocked out just like anyone else, and if you don’t tap you will hear a snap… so Tom wins.
Here's what i believe, Jon's true strength comes when he's afraid of his opponent. My guess is, he recognizes Aspinall as a threat. That is why i believe he'll definitely give aspinall a tough time.
Do you guys remember that last Bellator event when Chael and Dan Hardy were the commentators? That was a blast. I am of the opinion that if Bellator marketed itself as a 1 or 2 Per Year kinda promotion, and the commentators were these two, and it was the massive fights outside of the UFC... It would be very high up (maybe equal or some years greater than UFC)... I think that its interesting to imagine a competition to UFC, cos we've never had it. But that might be it.
Tyson had 10-14oz gloves and Tom is fighting with 4-6oz so it isn't an fair comparison. At the end of the day Jon walks away with the win and Tom walks with away with a limp.

We do believe in TA Cheal mate! Lets not forget that he took the Pav fight on 2 weeks notice... boom head shot, lights out! Blaydes gets dropped with a jab from his weaker left hand! Tom's also training with guys his size or bigger, exclusively... doing grappling rounds on repeat, carrying these giants on his back, taking him to dark depths. I'm with you. Every single time Jon fights, there is always this conversation. Every time , he came out victorious. Jon Jones is literally the greatest MMA fighter ever, and it's not even close.
This type of post is like 3 years old, IT'S NO LONGER THIS WAY ANYMORE. Time to wake up
This conversation started after Jones started showing little effort to win fights, specially in the Ovince Saint Preux fight.

"Imperial evidence" 🤣
Undisputed 😂 "I'm telling you what you think" 😂😂😂
We have all the imperial evidence we need to know Tom mogs Jones in the cage
It’s empirical lmao go back to school

Few things here.
You can't really argue with Chael's stance on we've seen Jon's toughness (albeit best part of a decade ago) but we haven't seen Tom's yet. However, there is no doubt that Tom has a resilience and mentality to come through.
All the historic evidence points towards Jon's experience and know how that may overwhelm Tom. As a Brit and a fan of Tom it is worth a thought and leads me to a conclusion:
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind, Aspinall wins any way that he wants to.
Jon is unproven at Heavyweight. In fact, he was only winning at LH by narrow margins. Tom will destroy him.

@@amg863 my statement is still true

Jon at heavyweight is not the same guy. Tom is at his natural weight and Jon is now a bodybuilder
lol Tom should never be mentioned in the same sentence with Jon unless he wins for the next 10 years every fight
The fact that anyone thinks any professional fighter is "afraid" to fight anyone is wild. Let alone someone like JJ
Not afraid to fight or get hurt he's afraid to lose
@stonish9328 fair point. But I don't that's it either. JBJ has 1, maybe 2 fights left. I think it's more about legacy. Fighting stipe would be goat vs goat. Aspinall is more what the fans want to see, but not really a huge benefit for jones or his legacy. It's a business at the end of the day.

Jon is a big scary guy, but he couldn't even beat Tom in egg fighting.
Chael's actually talking to Jon. Expertly doing his best to make Jon want to take the fight 👍🏻
I'm not betting against Jon no matter who he fights. I like the phrase Dana White uses, if Jon and any other guy walks into a room and only 1 can walk out, Jon walks out every time!! Thats Badass!!!

Yes we believe Tom will knock Jones. It won't be easy but Tom will get it done.

Aspinall ain't beating no one, let alone the GOAT

He's also one of those guys that was blessed with speed and agility from day dot. It's something that he and his Dad have purposely nurtured and kept from before he first started martial arts as a kid, before he grew into his 6'5 final form frame today! Nowadays... he already has the speed and footwork... but it's the power that is massively evident today, by the outcome of his wins! I personally don't think JJ will take this fight but it's defo wanted, until it happens... it's always gonna be hypothetical! Let's keep our fingers crossed! See what happens😜
