I was here before it was cool.
I hope this finds you well, I'll admit that this video truly inspired me to create and finish a project I've been dreaming about for some couple of months now. I just a couple days ago started with godot but I do have some months working with unity and tried godot previously. Thanks for putting your work out there, it really helps. Congratulations on finishing your first two games. You have done more than 70% of aspiring game developers.
Thank you very much! I wish you good luck on your journey!
I have just started making my own game in my 30. It's tons of work and it's not even close to half done but seeing the 2D character hand drawn by myself moving for the first time it almost felt like being a father (I guess because I don't have children yet).
Great video, thank you for sharing your experience! I am trying to learn Unity right now so this was very encouraging
This is motivating. That means I have to get off my *ss and release my first game, LOL
Nice, congrats on releasing your first of many games to come!
I making my own game too :) I hope everything will be good
The timing of this appear on my notification on the day I published my OWN first game? Crazy.
Congratulations! Do you feel about it the same way I described?
@@ChillTimeMoreLikeTimFromChile First of all, congrats ON YOUR PROGRESS and launching your first game!
2. I actually made my first game in 7 days. Prior to that, I was only mindlessly watching Godot tutorials on UA-cam, some of those are just people's summary on how they made a game in different engines and styles. So all I had was theory and interest. So I can't say I would have the same feeling as you did in 2 years. I LEARNED A LOT for coding. My basic coding was from Scratch, Play CodeCombat website, and a little bit of HTML and CSS.
3. The non-technical part onwards, I agree wholeheartedly. I was thinking of 5 levels, but during my development, 3 levels were what I could produce with the time limit I set upon myself. I was surprised some people couldn't go pass level 2, and most struggle on level 3, which was the intention. It gets harder since the mechanics is easy. Left and right controls input.
4. My progress was very much on how you made your 2nd game. And I'm so glad I push myself completing the game even though in Day 3, I was very much giving up and was sad that the thing I imagine wasn't what I thought. The more I work on it, the more I love it.
AND YES, GO MAKE YOUR GAMES AND FINISH IT!!
i have made at least 150+ games in my entire career and i have not made any commercial projects other than the free ones i released on mobile :(
Biggest thing I am learning aside from code is to decide on a good resolution early. If you decide late, it's a nightmare
Very nice bro
I’m currently making my first game it’s called Hopelite
The typo is intended it’s pronounced Hope-lite
What game engine do you use? I just started using godot its so useful
if you watch the video, he says it literally 3 times
Pretty strange that you didn't recognize Unity's UI, every game developer has seen it at least once
Yea godot is fine but you gotta stick to it for long
The only problem is that i made it before i made my account and am unable to publish it
like!
yay!!!!!!!!!
i will never give up the first my game now
I'm glad to hear that! Let me know when it's finished!
1:57 why is that in Czech? Cause your accent does not sound Czech :DD
Cause I’m from the Czech Republic and this was a game for my friends. :)
@@ChillTimeMoreLikeTimFromChile máš tím pádem dobrou angličtinu! U většiny lidí poznám (i když mají hodně dobrou angličtinu), že jsou z Česka:DD
