SO. I do not understand. Did CHRIST no say that the only reason for divorce is adultery? Ofcourse we have to add abuse. But then HE (CHRIST) said that the offending party cannot marry unless the offender party dies, and, if the offender gets married before that death the he/she causes the person they marry to become an adulterer? I am totally confused.
As believers we should try to stay clear from using the Word for only what works good for us. Some people just DO NOT belong together a couple because they will not be able to live the gospel through their lives as one unit, which is the ultimate goal of marriage. Sadly, some people may not realize that until they’ve taken that step and have worked through their issues without a positive outcome. God’s Grace covers our mistakes because He wants above all for us to prosper. More love and less judgment. I think the confusion could be because of our unforgiving attitude in our environment.

Most people I know are on their 3rd marriage. Why bother?
